I experienced a FNB Payshap missing funds event - reported it to FNB Payshap support contact centre - on 29 Jan 2026 - and again on Monday 02 Feb 2026 - as fnb closed the first case - not sure why! Its now 5 February 2026 at 14.58 still no funds , no feedback to the cases logged. Try 5 timee since then via the contact support centres , and either the calls are cut by the agent or Iam told they will call me back within 30 mins- sure , that never happens
Purchased a product Makro IOnline.Logged a return as is required on their t&c's - that was two(2) weeks ago. Since then I went into my local Makro store-Ottery 7800 , even the store escalate the issue. Return not collected and refund still not attended too-This is a very bad experience from such a retailer with -which historically has a good reputation.

We visited the The Homestead wine tasting on VergenoedLoW wine estate on Saturday 4 2025. I first visited the estate 4 years earlier during an research gathering paid gig. The most recent visit _we were acompanied by some very dear friends. As good fortune smile on us _ I was greeted by a your , smiling Leo _ with his distinguished "poor boy"blue cap. Awesome service, committed knowledge of wine cultivar of both the estate's red and white wine tasting samples . I was captivated by his dialogue to the Malbec red , and my soulmate thought the estate Chardonnay was an exciting burst of fruit and green grass awesomeness. . But above all else my praise and excitement of this review , is Leo _ ask for him by name, you will not be dissapointed. https://vergenoegd.co.za/news/meet-leo-van-schalkwyk-vergenoegd-low-tasting-room-ambassador/
I have been a member of PPS for professionals, mutual society since 13Jun2017. I reach out to them, as their products range and membership was specifically designed around graduate professionals- or so they have claimed. COVID-19 happened in 2020, and I had some issues I needed clarity on, so began a painfully customer/pps engagement initially with the financial adviser ( DEsterhuyse@pps.co.za ) and when he went AWOL ,continue with the back-office support staff , who was uninformed about their own products, lackluster, in providing both regular feedback or actual resolutions. Fast Forward_ 2024 , adviser ( sengel@pps.co.za) , i raised a concern about a missed debit , the adviser responds to my email , 4 days later , assuring me everything is in order. I then request to increase in the value of my cover , after this request , (another 3 days later) I get a email from the sengel@pps adviser , that "Houston we have a problem! '. I respond to "Houston we have a problem"email , two more days pass , I'am Yet to received any response at all from PPS- advisers or managers or clientservices (memberservices@pps.co.za; sengel@pps.co.za>; managersfeedback@pps.co.za) PPS - I have huge doubt ,as to whether I can believe , both email or word of advice- from either PPS or its employees. For an organization that claims in advertising it being Founded in 1941, PPS is the only mutual financial services company in South Africa that focuses exclusively on graduate professionals, providing tailor-made insurance, investment and healthcare solutions. -with confidence , competence and have earned its legacy of dependable- is in real terms ,Factually Untrue !!! , -certainly in my experience , with two different advisers. .
This bunch is as dishonest , and ***** as South African's governing political party. False adverting a Funeral cover , at R39 pm ,but when you access the mobi link , it signs you up for Accidental cover- and Not Funeral policy. When you contact the contact centre to query the discrepency , that want to correct the error by then giving you funeral cover , at 3xtimes the cost of the initial advertising of R39pm . I email , requesting it be cancelled, no response , until i Rejected the DebiCheck, sent from my bank. Five minutes after I rejected DebiCheck , I got a call from Finchoice consultant , query why I cancelled the policy. Bunch of shady characters , at Best!
Recently , as I do annually , I assessed the competitiveness pricing of my existing insurers versus the others. After requesting and receiving (2) comparison quotes, from two (perceived) market leaders, I choose Santam direct for my short-term insurance to cover , car, home and contents. 1st Debit order was schedule for R1740 on 2 April 2024. Much to my surprise Santam direct debit an amount R 2796.88 against my bank account. Naturally i reach out to query "ërror" , as compared to their written policy contractual agreement! Santam just can't explain or justify their DISHONEST , and Bullying actions! every santam representative that call me on the issue , flip-flop from one , excuse to the next ,playing the blame-game. To day I cancelled my policy! Then I recalled back in November 2020- Santam Insurance also tried to flip-flop on claims registered by Ma-Afrika Hotels and Stellenbosch Kitchen- and the Western Cape High court ruled against them! I guest a Quagga can't change its strips!!
Booking.com was the initial contact app. Milas place the guest house - Entire experience regrettable! Service provider-Milas place, mislead us and did not provide neither the accommodation or facilities as listing in confirmation of booking, receipt. Service provider-Milas place guest house 2 Dorhill street , 7130 Somerset West, South Africa – The first sign of aggravation was when we arrived to check-in at 2.00pm (as per booking.com comms) , we were told because of their (Milas Place) religious beliefs, they can only have us chick-in after 19;00 pm on the day. Then the experience just got worse! No Private Bathroom, No separate lounge. No single beds were in the room they put in is- as requested. These Milas Place -owners/management wilfully deceived us on check-in comms- refuse for us to check-in at 2.00 pm. Insisted they insisted we check-in at 19;00pm - in accordance with their religious beliefs. No soaps ,No shower gel , No coffee ,completely disregard health and safety concerns. Electrical plugs were exposed without safety covers. No breakfast , was offered or schedule either communicated about or provided. When we check-out the following morning at 7.00am -handing keys to, Reuben, he greeted me in pyjamas, and was disorientated as he had just woken up!
I randomly picked this company off Google search _ within close proximity to Plumstead , Southern Suburbs7800 -calling to get an independent assessment from my insurers on a the repair or replacement of a garage door.I was aware of the call-out fee that would be charged by any contractor-being quite prepared for this cost.On my first call -the person named Andrew , insisted to do a remote diagnosis on my garage door problem. When I requested , an onsite visit , the tone of the conversation became aggressive. Then it took a sinister turn, with him insisting I have his R550 inspection fee in cash and payable before his actually done the onsite assessment. If Andrew is the boss at LHV garage doorsI& gates - this guy is very *****!! I would recommend extreme CAUTION!! when dealing with this supplier!!!
Recruit Africa <graham@recruitafrica.co.za> is definitely a **** website.I have previously left a review on a company TESTIQ.co.za, to which I was directed by Graham from RecruitAfrica.co.za recruitment who posted a job on Linkedin for online TEFL teacher post. The **** modus goes , that you have to complete a IQ test with TESTIQ.co.za and they charge a small fee , which you need to pay, before Recruit Africa will continue with your screening for the advertised pos***** been 3 weeks and believe me , nothing Graham from Recruit Africa, promises , its all Lies! Both these companies work in cahoots with the other !
