I purchased a Yoco Go because of the advertised "0% transaction fees for the first R5000 in total sales volume." After adding the machine to my account, which I created last year to test the software, I found out that I don’t qualify for the promotion since my account predates it. This exclusion isn’t mentioned anywhere, so I had no way of knowing beforehand. This is incredibly misleading marketing, compounded by the worst customer support I’ve ever encountered. Their live chat takes hours to respond, offering no real help before disconnecting me. The WhatsApp bot even acknowledges this exact issue with the promotion and states that support must retroactively apply it in such cases. Despite this, support claimed they couldn’t assist me. This entire experience left an incredibly sour taste, and I’m hoping to proceed with a refund.
Would give 0 stars if possible. This review is not about a specific store but rather about the online store/company as a whole. I ordered the 'Medium Goose Feather Pillow Inner,' but what I received was the small variant. Upon raising the issue, I was informed that, due to customs regulations, they had to label the product as small, but it was supposedly the medium variant. I already own the medium variant purchased in-store nearly two years ago, and the difference was immediately noticeable. The older pillow, despite significant use, remains more firm and loftier than its supposed NEW MEDIUM counterpart. Unsatisfied, they initially promised a FULL refund. However, I had to pay R150 out of pocket to return the product. Later, I was told I would only be refunded the cost of the product (R364), and not the original shipping nor my return (R287 + R150). So, I had to pay R437 because THEY sent me the wrong item. It's frustrating that the burden is placed on the customer for the company's mistake or their incorrect labelling of online products. Disgusting. Before posting this review, I noticed they have since changed the labelling on the website. I hope this correction at least helps someone else avoid ordering the incorrect product. However, I strongly advise against ordering anything from Miss Lyn altogether.
