Good day Hellopeter I ended up at the office of the CEO and my matter was handed to Sue Du Plessis (Head of Complaints at Funds at Work). She is a very sincere and competent lady who went the extra mile attempring to resolve my issues relating to delayed pay out of my claim benefits. Seem there may be some problems but I believe they are looking into concerns and attempt to reslove them and to better the system.
One star is a compliment. I would like to urge all struggling with Funds at Work to file a complaint/dispute online with the Office of the Pension Fund Adjudicator (www.pfa.org.za) and tip Carte Blanche (www.dstv.com/m-net/en-za/show/carte-blanche) off about the conduct of Momentum and Funds at Work. It doesn’t help communicating with them.
They are useless. Struggle from start of February to access my Funds at Work since I left employment. First their platform didn't respond when I submitted my request. Received a link that didn't respond. I had to phone to request hard copies to complete. Thereafter I received again a delaying link to confirm my bank particulars. A month later I receive a arrogant message to phone them (the customer is probably too unimportant to be phoned by them). Phoned them, hold on 20 minutes in order for a consultant to drop my call. Had to phone again and hold for 20 minutes, just to hear they want to know if I would like to draw all my savings component. This was indicated online to be the case as well as om the e-mail to you a month ago!!!! Delaying tactics not to pay out? When asked to speak to a Manager I was informed they are in a meeting and I will be phoned back. That never happened!

He requested me to give K-plumbing a fair opportunity to correct the work and to remove my negative rating, which I did. They remove the basin on 5 November 2024. I Informed K-plumbing and the owners in writing and by whatsapp we do not accept their proposal to resurface / refurbish the basin since we supp**** them with a new vanity and basin to install. Only their workers handled the basin and vanity and didn't report any damages on it before installation. Cost of replacement of the vanity and basin amount to R13000. A week later and they don't respond to e-mails and what's app messages. Paid them in advance for other services that has not been rendered yet. Don't receive any feedback from them. Will probably need to refer the matter to the The ombudsman, buy a new vanity and basin at a amount of R13 000 and pay other plumbers to do the installation they were already paid for.

The basin was damaged during installation, surface chipped and scratched, see pictures. They had to redo a tank installation inside the wall. Clearly the plumber didn't know what he was doing and find a problem why it could not be done. The owner, Bennie, informed me that he will come out and do it himself. Unfortunately after the basin episode, I cannot trust them to do work of high quality. If they damaged a basin, what are they going to do with an Victoria and Albert bath worth R30 000.00. I wouldn't recommended them at all. I paid over R12000 on their fees, all I got was a column installation in the shower, a bath mixer installation, removal of a tank that was installed incorrectly by a previous plumber and a damaged basin. They demanded payment outfront, probably because I would have refused to pay them due to the damages caused on the basin. Please be careful, rather get a Italtile installer when installing high end products, these guys aren't capable of doing the work and cause damages. Terrible experience.

How does one get response from Capitec? Me and my brother has been appointed as executors of my Mother's late Estate. We can't even get the account closed, a balance and the balance transfered to the executors bank account or the Estate Account. Instruction was given about 1 month ago. According to the consultant at the Kroonstad, Oranje Street Branch, closure of the account still pending. All documentation needed was handed in at the branch. If this was a different bank it would have taken about 5 days for the process. Capitec can't even close the bank account and give a balance. When you send a e-mail to Customer care they send you an alternative e-mail adress CCSDeceasedQueries@capitecbank.co.za. When you e-mail this e-mail you get a automatic e-mail stating that this e-mail adress is no longer in use and give the same e-mail adress to send queries to. What's going on Capitec????? I will not recommend anyone to open a Capitec account and to trust Capitec with their hard earned money since ot seem Capitec is reluctant to pay out the balance after the death of a bank account holder to the duly appointed Exucutors appointed by the Master of the High Court. We know the consultant at Capitec, Oranje Street, very well and I trust this consultant completely. This consultant is extremely diligent and professional. I believe it is an imbaracement to het as well not being able to give feedback. It seem het hands is tied behind her back. Capitec, please give a number of someone at your head office to resolve this matter amicably.
Excellent service. Traced our cat this morning to a nabouring Estate. Were unable to get entrence to the premises where he jumped the boundary wall. Went back this evening to the same street, called him, went back again and found him. Thank you.
