I had acrylic French tips done on Tuesday. That same afternoon the white paint peeled off. I went back on Wednesday to redo it. It peeled again. I returned to the store on Friday and was told i can have it redone. I chose not to because it was my birthday and I didn't want to spend more time at the salon. the lady we spoke to said there was a problem with the white nail polish. I asked why they are still using it if it is inferior. no response. I asked for a credit or refund and they are not allowed to do this. I sent an email stating my complaint. I have not had the courtesy of a response. I paid R 500 and my nails didn't even last one day! absolutely disappointed. Waste of time and money.
I took out a personal loan with FNB in June 2023 at 29.25% interest. About 60% of the instalment amount was being deducted for the interest. When I queried it, I was advised interest is calculated daily on the available balance and added/compounded monthly in arrears. After monitoring the deductions i noted that the deductions for interest were increasing every month despite the capital amount decreasing. I was advised to look at my contract. However I was never given a copy of it. I have requested it and still did not receive it. I was on the phone for almost an hour being transferred from department to department and no one could assist with the deductions for the interest. I was on the secure chat for a further 2 hours and was eventually told that the system calculates my interest and it cannot be recalculated. This is now the third instant that FNB has refuses to assist with a query or even provide an adequate response to a complaint. I have laid a complaint with the ombudsman and will be moving all my accounts to a more competent institution. Service is pathetic esp when considering the high bank charges.
