Uber confirmed that if you book a ride that drivers have no obligation to pick you up - do not think you have a ride booked it is purely luck if you do get picked up - never another Uber booking for me!!! See their mail to me after complaining that they left an 82 year old sick lady standing: Hi ......, Driver-partners are advised to pick the riders from their pinned location within the mentioned estimated time of arrival and drop them at their desired destination. They are encouraged to complete all the trip requests that they accept within the geofence of the city. For a convenient pickup, driver-partners are also advised to remain available for calls and texts in order to coordinate with the riders. Thanks for your understanding.
After a previous struggle I decided to try again and ordered some parts and made the payment. It is in stock, but they just do not ship it I logged a call, received a mail for somebody to look into it and again nothing is happening - the same a last time.
I reserved a ride for my elderly mother to get to hospital for tests. The driver just did not pitch and there are almost no consequence for drivers. THEREFORE drivers just take reservations with no real intend to service it. Be careful - I saw this is what people say about UBER and their Reservations - for which you pay a huge amount extra
Still no response form them - they took my payment and failed to create and order for the parts. Nobody answers calls and all emails say they will respond - nothing happens and they cannot care less. In my opinion they are going bankrupt or have serious hacking issues that allow hackers to ***** money and they are not prepared to handle it - they just hope these customers will go away and not bother them - I get nothing out of them.
I question if any of the payment platforms can add any real value – to merchants, but not to you MR customer? In my opinion they make it possible for **** sites to exist and makes it so much more difficult for a consumer to find a remedy when a problem arises with a supplier. What happened with me recently (and I am sure similar events happens millions of times a month), was that I selected PayGate as an option to make a payment to OnlineCarparts.co.za. After the payment was completed the site crashed and the transaction did not complete on onlinecarparts website. I have now for 3 weeks tried to rectify the situation and PayGate (also indicated as payfast) just claims on their side the transaction is OK and cannot (Actually will not) do anything (I proposed they s**** onlinecarparts as a merchant because they obviously have serious problems they are unable to handle) – If I made the same appeal to Visa or Mastercard and onlinecarparts did not respond (as they did not respond to email, telephone calls and WhatsApp) then the credit card company has cover for that and will take onlinecarparts off the list as a valid merchants and I will get my money back. Therefore, I propose ONLY Use Visa/Mastercard options to make online payments and if a site does not have this option then already start considering them as a micky mouse site/**** or something bad – do not purchase from them.
Same as so many people recently. I suspect they are going bankrupt and are keeping the website going to collect money from victims until they finally co under. To me it looks like a **** site at present!!! And it is working. When you call the number they transfer you and after waiting everybody gets a message sorry person is not available and then call is dropped. Email complains always to get a response "I will look into it" and then it ends. After getting frustrated with the lady answering the call I was Told Tracey will help me - that was last Wednesday and until now she has not even red the WhatsApp information she asked me to send her. She does not answer calls on WhatsApp either. I propose that you only use credit card payments like Visa or mastercards directly to suppliers. There online payment systems only act as a safeguard to protect ****s - they will not get involved or block the merchant when it becomes obvious that they are becoming a **** - they do not want to know about problems as it limits their income.
