After paying +39000.00 for a service and steering wheel shaft after they broke my oil pump and then broke my cars steering wheel shaft seal my questions escalations and queries of what was done to my car and what Tom Campher broke only response was, please collect your car or pay the extra 14000.00 for additional repairs. Worst car service I expected from such big company. The customer service Colleen is rude and aggressive after not even listening or reading any communication. Worst dealer ever definitely getting an AUDI next time.
I paid over R39000.00 to Tom Canpher motors who Obliterate my car after over a month of back and forth for damages they did to my car now I must tow it from them back home... Any suggestions.
I paid over R39 000.00 for Tom Campher to Obliterate my car. Not to mention the attitude of Tom Campher motors staff is pathetic, the service and misleading information they have no remorse after wrecking my car just sent me an email to fetch it. I drove it there now I need to tow it back home took them over a month of back and forth to completely destroy my Volvo. Worst place ever to think I would get my car fixed.
Hello Peter, It is with regret that I am now escalating my issue to you. To err is human but to err multiples times with the same car is questionable? It has been since the 9th of January to the 15 February and every week I bring the car to Volvo as explained in my previous email. The car was not booked for a service and no docket was opened for the car after the full service on the 9th January 2024. It will be with regret should this email be ignored as I have had a placed Tom Champher Volvo Motor at a very high standard. Please see emails below: I'm not sure if this will get the right attention but I don't think it is fair for me to settle for nothing but the best from Tom Campher Motors Braamfontien. Thank you for bringing your dissatisfaction to my attention, I can only imagine your frustration, but do assure you of best attention at all times. - This was not said on the telephone call we had yesterday, However I had to end the call as Colleen was irate and discourteous using a very aggravated tone. I have sent Colleen an email the day before, however the email was not read and she was unaware of what I referring to. I had to explain in full detail as at the time I brought the car in on the 9th of January to the 14 February - I was already at a point where I was at a loss for words I do see from your messages that you did mention the windscreen washers to Willie by means of WhatsApp on the 29th of January and I do therefore apologise that this information was never added to the job card, I do understand the inconvenience caused to you due to this. Had Colleen read my email I sent before calling me this would not need a lengthy explanation on my end as to which she was not satisfied – This was also discussed telephonically with Willie. According to my records your car came in the first time with and oil leak and we also did a service. There are so many contributing factors which can put us in a situation where car needs to return after the first job was done. This should have been picked up when I requested a service – Not 1 weeks later after gaslighting me - telling me "that's what happens after a service." When Duncan did the wheel bearings, service and driveshaft seals the oil leak from the vacuum pump was not evident. Because the car had no oil leak - we discussed this several time yesterday. This is very possible because the vacuum pump is positioned higher than the driveshaft seals which were leaking. There was no oil leak - had the check been done why was this not picked up? The gearbox oil and the engine oil are two different colours but if the gearbox oil was not changed for some time it is possible that it could have become darker than it should be. I would also like to stress at the stage that we do not do unnecessary work and will not strip a car down unless we can see evidence of damage and the need to spend the labour looking deeper. My stress is that if the oil was not leaking "evidence" as Collen said was not there to start with, how did it end up with an oil leak first from the oil pump and then from the steering wheel shaft. PS: I paid R1100.00 for labor? - and got fitted an old oil pump, please assist. Why would I go through the hassle of fixing the car paying extra and getting it back to its former glory. When your car cam back for the vacuum pump, we found second hand one and gave it to you at no charge and only charged you the labour to fit it. I would like to add that due to the fact that this is a second hand part we do not offer a warranty on the part. See point above on your stress – there was no oil leak My car had no problem with a vacuum pump oil leak - I would not pay over R39000.00 and not ask to fix an oil leak Now my car has an old oil pump - That it didnt require as the evidence as Colleen said there was none at the time? Unfortunately, as with any component in any industry on the very odd occasion we receive and fit a defective part. As much as this is an inconvenience to you, it is not avoidable. The driveshaft seal has now been replaced and we are submitting a claim to Volvo and the replacement has been done at no cost to you. I was told the first time I brought it back – “That is what happens when oil is changed” I was also told it will go away??? We can not assume what is causing the knocking noise and would need you to bring the vehicle back at your convenience for us to check – I know this is not convenient and I am sorry – I am really very sorry, but there is no other way. Apologies could no-longer speak to you as your tone of voice was offensive Please let me know when you would like to bring it back for the knocking noise and windscreen washer. I dropped the car off this morning. 15 February 2024 again Please may I request that all communication be done via email as I will need it for future references. On the 9th January I requested a full service and quote of problems with the car. Should all these problems have existed I would have opted to buy a new car than pay over 60 000.00 for fix it. Therefore I requested a full quote. I was reassured that is all that is wrong with the car but spending every week for 2 days at Volvo is now ridiculous. As discussed on whatsapp, The knocking sound is mounting gear box and the wheel bearing. I asked a few questions which you answered, noted not professional, please see attached. From the last question. This knocking sound was not there when I brought the car in on the 9th January up to and including 8th of February when I again returned the vehicle for the oil leak. I brought the car in 4 times this is the fifth and Volvo (Colleen) says only three times I will settle to agree to disagree. The knocking was there on Saturday the 10th when I collected it from Volvo I drove the car home and that is where it stood until Monday 12th Tuesday 13th I sent a message to ask what the knocking sound was please note I did not drive the car on Tuesday. This circle been consistent from day one, now you expect me to pay another 12 to 13 thousand. For something that wasn't there before no evidence of this was picked up throughout the month.
