Dotsure pet insurance claims process has always been easy and payment is fast. Cost is worth it if your animals are at risk but now that mine have calmed down, cancelling their accident cover was financially wiser. Cancelling their cover was simple and was handled professionally by Michael Bennett. He was extremely helpful and gave excellent advice. Based on his advice and my previous experience with dotsure, I am keeping medical cover for my other aging pet.
Kirsten and her team were amazing at packing, moving and setting up my mom's downsize move in a highly organised manner. Some items of value went missing but not many. The tragic part was that all her high-value furniture items were sold through an auction house, as So Sorted recommended us to do and which they managed for us for a fee, for a pittance of their value. The sales didn't put a dent in the cost of the service and it has been devastating to see these sentimental and valuable items essentially made worthless. A solid mahogany wood dining table that had been in the family for >50 years was sold for ~R400; an antique sideboard for ~R300. We would never have allowed So Sorted to oversee this part of the move had we known that no minimum amount or control over the auction would be applied. I highly recommend So Sorted for packing & unpacking but definitely suggest selling your things yourself on GumTree or similar platform.
Great prices but poor service. Sales staff are rude and no one offers to help even when they see you are obviously a little lost in the store.
CTM Strijdompark: sales staff are excellent - very professional and helpful but there are too few staff working in the collections warehouse (when I arrived there wasn’t even one person and I had to go into the showroom to ask for help to find a warehouse assistant.) Collections can take up to half an hour, even just for one box of tiles.
The quality, quantity and variety of produce in the boxes is excellent. Delivery within a few days, even during lockdown. COVID-19 cautious delivery methods. I was so happy with what I received that I’ve started sending boxes to family as gifts. I honestly might never buy fruit and veg any other way even after the pandemic is over. #30in30
17 days before my move, I accepted a quote from Alex at Ultimate Logistics for an 8 ton truck with 5 staff to come at 08:00 on moving day. I also requested and received confirmation for packing of 30 boxes and mattress covers for 2 beds. I received written confirmation from Alex the day before the move that all was in order. Despite this, the move was endlessly problematic and unprofessional: 1.) At 08:00 on moving day, Alex called to say they did not have enough boxes and the place they usually bought from was closed so they needed to find another supplier. When asked why this hadn't been planned for at the time of booking, he said it had been but then another move had used up the boxes 2.) At 09:00 they finally arrived with a 6 ton truck and 3 movers 3.) Next thing, our high end mattress was being dragged across the floor, uncovered, to the truck. According to the movers, they did not have such things as mattress covers 4.) When I called Alex to complain, he did not answer his phone (although eventually did phone back) 5.) Despite breaking all the terms of his quote, he initially refused to give a discount because he said the smaller truck would require two trips. When I asked why I hadn't been informed about the change of plan when I had sent my confirmation inquiry the previous day, he said that they'd only found out that the 8 ton truck (apparently they only have one) was not operational (burst a water pipe upon return from a long haul) that morning. When asked why he hadn't informed me when calling to let me know about the box shortage so that I, as the customer, could make the decision about proceeding with a doubly long, two-trip move or cancelling, he seemed to think it was his own prerogative to have made the decision for me. He eventually conceded to give me a discount only after I refused a second trip and threatened legal action for breach of contract.

Having created a photo book using jetline online software, I took it on a flash stick to Jetline Fourways since the software would not allow online submission for a quote. Next thing I knew I received an invoice for R2000! Never quoted (I would never spend R2000 on 24 photos) but still required to pay. No discount offered just "sorry, it was my fault". Will never use Jetline again.

3 years ago I was told my car's control arm was bent and would need a panel beater to repair it which would cost thousands of rand. Laurence at Supa Quick fixed it, rotated the tyres and balanced them for under R800. And all with great charm, nice coffee and free wifi. I highly recommend them!
