Extremely bad service from Vodacom Tygervalley (the one close to game because there is three for some reason). I went to upgrade last week Monday (21 Oct 2024). They swore that they only had one Samsung Galaxy S24+ so I was forced to take a colour I did not want or wait however long it would take to order one. Just for them to come out with another phone (in the colour I wanted) after my business was concluded because my husband mentioned that we also want to upgrade. When I got home and turned on the phone on (because it was not turned on it the store) it would not even go pass the Samsung screen. I took the phone back within 24 hours and I still don't have a phone (28 Oct 2024). I have not received any feedback on the status of the phone and when I tried to phone them on Thursday the phone had not even been sent in. Only after a frustrating conversation did they send in the phone, and I had to phone again just to be told I will be contacted and I'm still waiting. They told my husband if he paid a certain amount (Handset fee) he would be able to upgrade earlier so he paid the amount only to be told that he could still not upgrade. Lies, broken devices and rude staff! I’ll probably receive the half broken phone next year.
After taking our bike for a service earlier this year at Cycle Lab we have experienced nothing but problems! Nothing was wrong with the bike it was just a routine check before the season began. Right of the bat the tubs leaked sealant and the valve was missing on one of the tires so we had to take the bike back. A week later during the first race after the service the gears broke. This resulted in an injury as the last 10kms of the race only one gear worked. So we took the bike in to be fixed, a bit concerned that this happened right after the service. They phoned us stating that the gears broke and it would cost R 1 000 to be fixed. Shortly after they phoned and said that the bike is ready to be collected at no cost they found the problem. They did not find the problem as 10km into the Cape Town Cycle Tour the gears broke again. After this we took the bike back again a bit annoyed but trying to resolve the issue. Since then we have had nothing but empty promises to either phone us back or to have the gears fixed under warranty but nothing has been done. The bike is a just over one year old and a good brand. The gears should not have broken to begin with. Race entries are expensive and a broken bike results in losses and injury. After we finally get the bike back we will not be going back to Cycle Lab ever again.
