We shared a platter for two, started with oysters which we aren't fans of so the team swapped them for us. Meat platter with rump steak espetada, peri-peri chicken and pork ribs with salad and two sides. We couldn't eat dessert, too much food, but there were a number of choices, all ending with a Dom Pedro, which again we didn't do because my wife doesn't drink alcohol, and they swapped for milk shakes. Good ambiance, singer was playing, all of this for R599 per couple. All round great experience, staff were on the ball and by the way the food was great!
I cancelled my router contract on 1 October 2025 on the advice given by the Vodacom shop I visited in September to check the process. I did this on line and via the email provided by Vodacom on the date i was told to cancel. I received a message from the on-line "You will receive an SMS & Email with your exact cancellation date. Until such time your Vodacom Contract Cancellation is not confirmed. Never received either. Asked the question via email on October 14 2025, got nothing back, account debited the following month. Went to Vodacom Greenstone on November 1st 2025 where they told me the message via SMS was an issue, but they were trying to send an SMS to a router, really! I sat with the lady trying to contact cancellations for 45 minutes, they picked up and put down immediately. The lady got frustrated and logged the request for cancellation on the system and advised me to do the cancellation on-line again. I did this on 5 November 2025 only to be told it should have been done before the 5th so I would have to pay for another month. Received another bill so went to Vodaworld. Waited 50 minutes to see a rep, showed her the digital message and the email cancellation paper trail. Today i am informed my email went to the wrong department, I asked what about the digital cancellation that i have proof of receipt by Vodacom, this has not been considered only the email, I suggested this was a convenient method of overlooking the facts that i had provided, result, no refund. The agent I spoke to at email is equally to blame as it would appear that she only submitted the email train of evidence, she kept coming back with the "wrong email" response and point blank refused to accept that i had shown her the SMS, i can only assume this is because she didn't submit that part of my complaint. I specifically asked her if i was going to get a reference number or print out of what she typed into the system, she told me know she would phone me with the outcome. So because she didn't capture the digital information portion i have paid and the incorrect advice from Vodacom Greenstone about when to cancel, i have paid two months subscription for a device that never worked from the day after i received it two years ago.
So I ordered a pergola which was on offer at around half price, (I am am an account holder and have supported the business for many years). They took my money and days later told me they had no stock, we had checked and the day of our supposed delivery, they still had six available. Now I'm told sorry, no stock, imported no longer supported and I quote "We’ve had to cancel items from your order 000773780 due to an inventory error on our side". I have built the slab for the product using Leroy Merlin products, no consideration, effectively stuff you Mr Smith. Now consider if 100 other people have done the same thing as me and given R3500 to Leroy Merlin for what will now amount to 3 weeks before repayment that means the massive organisation has benefitted to the tune of around R23k/week for falsely taking money on a special that they clearly knew they couldn't fulfill, surely they have an accurate stock solution! Not bad business, I for one will take my business elsewhere, disgraceful!
