This is a ****, its been weeks now, our treadmill packed up, Simon came and took my roller, the issue seemed to be either motor or pc board, but he has since taken the roller and 6k in payment, getting hold of this guy is near impossible, i recommend you stay clear this is a headache, no answer of calls, messages. This business should be closed, no one should be able to offer this kind of service. Please beware, we found out the hard way.
If you are a custoimer looking for shared hosting, this is not your place, I have been a customer since 2012, I have recommended my customers to use this platform, but I wont ever do that again, the shared hosting at Afrihost is the worst you can find now, I give you an example, for the past 3 weeks I have had intermittent DB connections for a customers site, I have logged calls, whatsapp, but it just persists, a few weeks before anohter customer calls me, asks where is his site, I go check afrihost moved mail to new server left the website behind (this has happened twice to the same customer), there are constant error 500's its terrible, support are almost robot like, they start problem solving from the start instead of looking at the history, so you wasting time speaking to them, because they gonna ask the server admins to check, boet my brain hurts when speaking to them The support oke chuned me the one day, its my internet, now imagine the wordpress instance afrihost hosts, in the same server range or dc that the db is in but it is my internet, how did he think that would make sense. This points to how bad they got, Gian is quick to send out nice emails about this and that but he fails to see the shared platform is hellishly slow, yet they still punt it to customers, you can't do that, it is not right, people rely on their sites for income, the particular site I am talking about now above is for a guy who has a meeting tomorrow with potential clients, it has an online shop and all to help him make sales, but if your site is slow, the customers are gonna say no thanks and move on, Afrihost, this is unfair in so many ways, you should be accountable for your environment, what you doing is not good enough and if you are not keen, then stop offering it, but don't shill it to unsuspecting customers. For anyone reading this, Afrihost seems to be on the down, there is better hosting out there, I mean you can get a lot more for a lot less, it sucks because Afrihost was once most likely one of the best, and I used and recommended them to alot of people, this is me done with afrihost, I will move all my accounts and that of my customers starting monday. Afrihost, you can check my comms with your support staff you will see how painful it has become.
I ordered something yesterday and it never arrived but hey charged me, then I opened a request to get a refund but they just ignoring the request, I have done 3 already. Its frustrating, they must focus, and also reply to their customers, I don't think I will use them again. Quick to debit but slow to refund.
