I have purchased a dinning room suite in the year 2021 at Home Italia Furniture stores, Westgate mall branch. The name of the dinning room suite is POMPAY, a round glass table with six 6 chairs of which I bought it at a cash price of R22 000.00. The following day when I was busy putting furniture polish the delivery of the furniture at my house, I noticed that one of the chairs was damaged and on the corner seat. The seats are covered with leather and one chair's leather cover was torn at the corner. I have notified the manager at the shop and I was told that they will come and fetch the chair for repairs. Indeed the chair was collected and I have been making follow ups since 2022 to date about the return of my chair and when are they going to deliver it at my place. I went to the shop several times and was also given the senior/area manager contact numbers whom I have contacted several times without any good answers and she ended up ignoring my calls and messages. I ended up requesting that they must give me the chair at a discount price which was worked out by the store manager and the poor store manager ended up paying me out her pocket and promised that the chair will be delivered at my place. To date I have been going up and down requesting delivery of that chair and I am not getting good answers. I am told that the chair was taken to the ware house for repairs of which I requested that they must stop with their repairs and let me take it as is. 1. Presently I am therefore requesting your intervention to assist me to get my chair back to me as it is now the 3rd year since I bought the furniture which so incomplete. I feel that the management is undermining their customers and they are also ignoring consumers rights. 2. I am also requesting you to assist me that they should pay me for all the travelling costs I have made since 2022 to date when frequenting their shop for enquiries with no positive results. 3. I am also demanding them to pay my wasted time, energy and emotional stress they have put me through out the period of my ups and downs to their shops. 4. I am also demanding them to pay my airtime used for several calls made with no effect and difference. Hoping that my request will be considered urgent.
