Well the senior advisor that assisted me,was very friendly and helpful,he totally understood my query and assisted accordingly,he answered all my questions professionally and guided me through the whole process with utmost professionalism.
Disappointed is an understatement. After numerous advice from people and reviews read, "DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG THERE, ESPECIALLY A PITBULL, YOUR DOG IS GONNA DIE" I still decided to give AACL EPPING the benefit of a doubt because its an organization that suppose to actually assisting and protecting the health and wellbeing of animals, but to my surprise it was exactly what people warned me about. On Saturday morning I noticed my 4month old Pitbull puppy hasn't eaten her previous evening's food and her eyes had a yellow discoloration, she was still being her energetic self , but her not eating was concerning as she has a healthy appetite, so I decided to take her to AACL Epping to have her check out, after 4 hours of waiting I finally got seen by the Vet who did not even inspect my dog and just put her on a drip and gave 5 injections and some medication for me to take home and said the dog has Parvo-virus, to which I said I do not think its Parvo-virus as these weren't symptoms of Parvo but he insisted, after getting home i noticed my puppy being much weaker than before she saw the Vet but I thought it is because of the drip she was on. The following day she was even worst then the previous day and I took her back , after another few hours of waiting I got to she a different Vet , who actually took the time to inspect my puppy and found that it was not Parvo at all and that the puppy actually had a infection which could have been treated properly if she was not misdiagnosed the first time around, They just put her back on a drip and another 5 injections and sent us home, by the following morning my puppy was dead, lots of time and money wasted because of the incompetency of someone that should've helped my puppy but didn't even take the time to properly inspect her and just because it was Pitbull she was misdiagnosed with Parvo-virus.Very unprofessional to say the least. I am so close to reporting this matter to a newspaper to get so media coverage on this unprofessionalism happening at AACL.
I recently bought a new vehicle and was going around looking for a good insurer, midway was my choice as they offered me the best cover with a great premium, however 2 months down the line I got offered a better quotation from a different insurers,I called Miway and told them about this and even though I was only with Miway for 2 month they valued me enough to adjust my premium and even offered me a better cover as they did not want to lose me as a client. I would just like to thank the amazing agent Lesedi Motlhabane for the great service.
So this passed Monday morning 29/04/2024 I got pulled over by a traffic officer , he tells me that he pulled me over because of my front number plate that is not displayed, i get out and check, no number plate (probably fell off because of all the potholes and uneven road surfaces i drive through everyday) I explain that i was unaware , he tells me he is just doing his job and he needs to take my licence disc, which i fully respect as he was just doing his job. He then proceeds by asking me where I live and work , which both answers were in Parow, he then tells me that if i sort the number plate out I can go to Goodwood testing station free of charge and they will put the vehicle back on the system and issue me a free licence disc . Good and well I immediately phone in late for work so that i can have this sorted out asap, fitted a new number plate and off to Goodwood testing station, walk in to the testing station and its very quiet i hear movement in one of the offices and i go there and see a City Official busy making coffee, I greet and proceed to explain my situation to him and he just looks at me blatantly ignoring me and continues making his coffee at the same time a female walks in (also an official) she has a seat and tells me that they have been closed for the passed 2 years and that i should go somewhere else and then she and the other official just start their own conversation as if I was never there. I get back to work and phone the City helpline and is told to go to Bellville Vehicle Testing Centre. So today 3/5/2024 I take a leave day to go and sort this thing out,I go to the Bellville Testing Centre just to be told that they have been closed for more than a month and I should go roadworthy my car privately and all in a very rude manner. So now I am in complete shock as how a traffic official does not know that these Testing Stations are closed and neither does the people on the other side of the help line, Does the City of Cape Town Management even know that these Testing Stations are closed because there are people in the offices but no testing of vehicles is being done. So I have now taken time off from work, drove out unnecessary petrol, a complete waste of time and money because of *********** City Officials. People really need to change their narrative of this being the best run City in the Country ,because its definitely not, might be the best on paper but actually wherever you go you met with ********,****y and *********** officials that should be helpful and uphold the law but they think they are the law. I am very disappointed and its not the first time that the City has let me down like this , really considering voting for another party.
