On 08.02.2026, I attended NNK at 2 De Grendel Road, Jan Burger Sports Complex, Parow North, Cape Town, 7500. This venue is commonly perceived as catering predominantly to white patrons. As a coloured person, I experienced treatment that reflected this perception. Despite being a regular patron, I observed that service and attention appeared directed primarily toward white customers. Despite my direct request for assistance, staff did not address me; instead, they directed the matter to a man seated at the bar, identified to me as the owner. My request to review CCTV footage was dismissed by him without engagement. This incident reinforced the impression that service and accountability at NNK are not extended equally and that racial bias influences how patrons are treated. As a person of colour, I found this response dismissive and troubling. I am documenting this experience to ensure there is a clear record of the discriminatory nature of the interaction and to request that it be formally reviewed. I shall, on my own and legal way, take this forward.
Disappointing Experience – Won’t Be Returning Went for lunch yesterday and unfortunately, it was a disappointment. From the start, every table was given complimentary chips—except ours. The starter was lovely, but things went downhill with the mains. The salmon was overcooked and despite requesting a medium-rare steak, it arrived very well done. When they redid it, it came back so rare that I lost my appetite entirely. Even the waiter acknowledged the issues. In the end, I opted not to eat my main at all. Very disappointing experience and I won’t be returning.
New pods not working and it's a manufacturers fault. Tried contacting customer services for a week and still not had any answer or reply. Will change my brand as they have absolutely no customer service
Absolutely terrible and below par anti-custoner service. Waiter forgetting items, disappearing off to do other things leaving me to get up from table to go to bar area after waiting over 10min , try and find him and rectify his mistake. After about 10min later after speaking with staff, he only came to table yet my partner already finished eating. Absolutely no explanation from him or any attempt to alleviate the situation. Completely loss appetite. Service was so bad and absolutely no accountability or any due care from staff towards customers. Paid for mains we didn't even set touch or eat as place plus atmosphere created by staff was so bad. Absolutely zero attempt from staff to rectify the situation. Worst experience our life. These people don't care at all. Avoid at all cost!!!!
