Wilderness hotel: Horrible outdated hotel
The hotel is run down and in serious need of an upgrade. Our room is damp and smells mouldy. The furniture is shabby, paint chipping off and generally old, there is not enough parking for all the guests and we could not get anyone to make up the rooms until the afternoon. Generally the hotel is run down, the service is terrible and the rooms are awful. It is grossly overpriced for what you get, horrible, horrible waste of money!!!!

Poor service and uncooperative manager
It was a disappointing experience. We took my mother for the breakfast buffet on Mother’s Day. Although it was a buffet, eggs were made to order, however, despite ordering, no eggs ever arrived as they had one person making omelettes for the entire restaurant and another on regular eggs. We dished our food and waited for our eggs and omelettes to arrive. Eventually we ate the bacon and toast as it was getting cold and no sign of the eggs. We tried ordering waffles but the same result, nothing! After two hours of waiting our table was cleared and we were heading for the door when the waitress brought the omelettes we ordered 2 hours earlier…. no sign of the waffles. I complained to the manager and he said there was a “delay” with the eggs as they were made to order, I think two hours for three omelettes and a plate of scrambled eggs is more than a “delay”. So for Mother’s Day my mother had a ****in and yoghurt, not exactly what we had in mind for her. The restaurant clearly cannot cope with the volume and turnover of guests and the customers are charged full price for an inferior service and food that never arrived. I would definitely not recommend the breakfast buffet at this restaurant !!!!!
