Let me start of by saying a 1 star rating is too much for this place! We had an extremely distressing and unacceptable experience at Vorna Valley Animal Hospital. Our ±6-month-old kitten was taken in for vaccinations, deworming, and sterilization. He was healthy and full of life prior to his visit. From the outset, there was a complete lack of communication and professionalism. No consultation took place before he was taken to the back, and we were not properly informed of his treatment throughout the day. When we followed up, the vet who called seemed confused about his procedure and had to be corrected. We were told he had been vaccinated, yet no proof, batch number, or proper documentation was provided. Deworming was not done due to lack of stock. On collection, our cat, who had just undergone surgery, was handled carelessly. No vet was available to speak to us, and we were denied aftercare guidance. We were told that no other vet would assist as it was “not their case.” We left with no clear medical records and no cer*****y about what had actually been done. Seven days later, our kitten became critically ill. He has since been diagnosed with feline panleukopenia and has been hospitalized, fighting for his life. He is an indoor cat with no exposure to other animals. Based on these facts, it is evident that he contracted this deadly virus while under the care of this practice and due to their negligence and false verbal response of him being vaccinated against this illness. Attempting to obtain his medical records was another ordeal. Incorrect documents were sent, including procedures that never took place. Staff were uncooperative and dismissive, and even the final document lacked critical vaccination details. This has been an incredibly traumatic experience. Our cat has suffered immensely, and we are now facing significant veterinary bills due to what we believe is clear negligence. We strongly urge others to exercise caution. A veterinary practice should operate with care, professionalism, and compassion -none of which we experienced here. A life is a life, regardless of whether it is human or animal. Do yourself and more importantly, your pet, a favour and go to another practice!
I purchased a lounge set from fair price online in February 2024 for R6000. The lounge set was delivered over a weekend with no prior arrangements being made and the delivery guys refused to assist me with taking my lounge set to my apartment - this being after choosing the delivery option. They then agreed to assist at a "fee" to their private accounts. Once I opened up the packaging to assemble the lounge set and put the legs on because that comes separately, I noticed that the board was broken on one of the sofas. I have tried contacting Fair Price on numerous occasions via telephone and email with NO response (it is now June 2024). Very cheaply made furniture and pathetic customer service. I will never recommend anyone to purchase from them.
