I submitted a funeral claim 2 weeks back and still haven’t heard from them. This is my second complaint and there’s still no response to my first complaint. That tells you everything about them
Metropolitan?? No man, I submitted a funeral claim last week, it’s been a week and NOTHING has been done. Doesnt funeral claim scream URGENT?? I have to call and follow up daily and im given the same excuse. It’s been a week! The average funeral claim is 48hrs and you know what? This isn’t the first time this company is making me come to HP. If you don’t complain they don’t attend to you. This is atrocious to say the least
I would like to commend Penny Celler from Sanlam Sky. Her patience and dedication to her job is remarkable, she’s been assisting myself and my brother with our late moms policy. Her attention to detail and patience is impeccable. In as much as my first call to Sanlam was a complaint, Penny stepped in and made the process bearable and stress free going forward. I have to give credit where it’s due. Thank you.
We are back here again with Sanlam. I don’t know a company that battles with communication. Just like last time, im reaching out as advised last time and hearing different stories, again. When I first called in I was advised about the policy which had my deceased family members and was advised of my ability to claim. I asked who is on the policy so I could know who’s documents to look for. I submitted once for one family member and was assisted, after doing the run around first. Im currently submitting for another family member they told me was covered and im told the claim is finalised and they cannot find some of my policies. What is happening there?? Honestly it sounds chaotic. I know if I call im definitely going to hear a different story. Im so sick and tired.
I am so disappointed by Sanlam. I’ve been speaking to consultants there and they all give different information. I submitted all my claim forms after I spoke to an advisor. I notified her I have recently been made aware of this policy and my ability to claim, I advised I do not have a BI form what can I send alternatively, she advised I can send an Affidavit stating this. I did as she advised. Now im being notified there is no such, they need the BI form to finalise my claim. The run around is crazy! Why are we furnished with different information. I took my precious time and went to the police station for nothing. Way to go!
I thought Old Mutual was going to redeem themselves after the huge media scandal, I honestly thought they would communicate with their employees regarding their service levels?? I logged an online claim a little over two months and no one has gotten back to me! Before I tried them I was calling them throughout the day, was getting transferred like crazy and the call would just cut, and no one would call back! Unless I made mention that I needed a quote, they waste little to no time when you want a quote. I am beyond livid with the atrocious service
I write this post with a heavy heart. I have reached out telephonically and logged my claim online, i requested a call back and no one has gotten back to regarding unclaimed benefits, I’ve spoken to the personnel and they either transfer me to the unclaimed benefits department where i’ll be put on hold until the call cuts/someone tells me the policy is outdated. When the call cuts no one calls back. My mother died in 2001, i was a minor, i have all her documents and policy number and i am not getting any sort of assistance. What does one have to do? This service is simply atrocious. I am trying to finalise this asap.
