They were perfectly happy to be good at their jobs and take my money until they were unable to fulfil the contract and couldn’t get my dog where she needed to go. Circumstances were beyond everyone’s control and I don’t blame them for the airline cancelling flights. What I DO blame them for is keeping R40,000 of the R53,000 I gave them, when they ABSOLUTELY did not do enough work to justify that. They claim the “bulk” of the cost is to the airline, who would have refunded them, so where is the rest of my money? I expected to pay the R5k nonrefundable deposit, R5k for the crate and comfort pack which they refuse to take back, R3k for cancellation fees from the original flight change which was my responsibility, and a R600 refund fee. So approximately R13-14k. Would have accepted R15k for extra costs involved in trying to get her on the plane. Under NO circumstances can they justify R40000!!! This is THEFT!
