Eco Rat poison - 'reduced chance of secondary poisoning' Please explain what science this name and statement are based on. The name is misleading and the statement is false. Calciferol (vitamin D) is fat soluble, when ingested it is stored in the fat (it has a half-life of 4 weeks), where it proceeds to draw calcium out of the gut, bones and cells. This causes calcification of the organs and joints. My dog ate a poisoned rat that had eaten Eco Rat. The people who put the poison out said they had not put out poison. When my dog started to get ill, I asked them again - they said but it was perfectly safe for other animals - that is what the guy at the nursery had told them. If your dog is lucky enough to survive, it will have kidney damage as a result of the high levels of calcium in their system - you have to pray the kidneys heal. That is where I am right now. THE NAME - ECO RAT - IS MISLEADING. AND THE STATEMENT ON TEH BOX IS FALSE. How do you sleep at night when everything about this product is wickedly misleading through false marketing to the eco-friendly market? I don't expect an answer from you, judging by the 'no response' on all other reviews. But I promise that everyone on social media and stocking this product will know about this.
I ended my membership with Discovery Health end of June 2022. I have a substantial amount of money in my MSA. I called the Call Centre and spoke with an agent that promised that they held onto it for 3 months and I would receive my money mid October because it would take 15 days to be released. Please note that I do not gain interest on this money - Discovery earn the interest on the money. Mid-October and Mid-November have now come and gone and there is no sign of it in my account nor any communication from Discovery Health. Today I called Discovery Call Centre (I was on the call for 25 minutes) and the lady asked if I had requested the money previously and if I had a reference number. My question to her was why do I have to request my money from them? She says it is due to be paid out to me mid-December. This is now five and half months to get my money back to me. Their excuse is that they have to protect themselves. How are they protecting themselves? They are gaining interest from my money. This seems greatly unfair. Ref # 9195114084
Last night I bought 4 Sodastream cylinders - I am now paying R94.99 for one - they used to be R35 so the price has tripled in about 4 years. The first cylinder I put in this morning was totally empty - no gas at all. Unfortunately there were no measurements on the side of the cylinder so I could not weigh it. I took it back this evening and Broadacres Spar swapped it immediately without any questions. I came home and put in another cylinder and it gave us one blast into a litre and the next bottle we tried to add sparkle to - it was also empty too! I feel I can't go back to them now after swapping one already. <br> This is not the first time that this has happened - especially over the last year - since the cylinder price has gone up to nearly R100. Surely by now there should be some system put in place that prevents this from happening. It all comes at our cost, not yours. It makes me very unhappy.
