Worst service ever. My rear glass broke on my iPhone 13 Pro. OUTsurance insisted that platinum repairs do the repair work. I was told that they would replace my outer casing and front screen. It came back and inly the back glass was replace. Sent it back to replace the rest. Ever since my phone came back from them, it overheats while on charge. I have all the screen shots as evidence. Platinum repairs do not want to take accountability for it. My camera has now stopped working. I need my camera to do my daily job. Now it’s inconveniencing me and can’t do my job properly. Please guys, stay away from them. Worst people ever.
They are very quick to say they have a hassle free claim policy. All very nice to get you to sign up. The moment you submit a claim, it’s all hell. My house was flooded on the 10th of May. All my wooden furniture got water damage. The accessor collected my furniture and brought it back 3 days later.Absolutely nothing was done. I called the complaints department raising my concern. They tell me they will appoint a new accessor. Again I told them I want my furniture replaced for 2 reasons. 1st- my first child was born 2 weeks after the flooding occurred and I don’t want to bring up a newborn in a house that has mould. 2nd- I have chronic asthma. My child has not been home since he was born.
OUTsurance is the worst insurers even. Always advertising hassle free claims. I had a burst water pipe in the 10 May 2024. My entire house was was flooded. OUTsurance sent an assessor (Idala investments)out to evaluate. They sent a report. The report stated that the bigger items of furniture that was affected from water damage, they will write it off and the smaller items, they will repair. I told them that I want all my furniture that’s been affected by water damage to be replaced for 2 reasons. 1 reason: my fiancés was pregnant at the time and we can’t bring a new born baby into the house that has possible mould. 90%of my furniture is wood. Secondly, I have chronic asthma. This is the whole point we have insurance is for accidents like this. OUTsurance told me it’s in their policy that they need to repair the furniture first. I wasn’t happy at the time but agreed to it. My furniture was removed from my premises and returned 4 days later. The work that Idala has done was shocking. Little to no work was done you could still see the water marks. Mould had started frowning on my wooden bench. Some of my chairs legs had started to split. I then contacted OUTsurance complaints department. My claim has been escalated to top management. I’ve received mails stating they will look into it. The reply I got was, “best we can do is send out another assessor” I told them again, the reason I’m claiming is because my furniture got damaged. OUTsurance has cause my family so much stress that it brought on early labour for my fiancé. All my furniture is now in my garage. It seem like OUTsurance thinks it’s accept for their customers to raise a new born in a house with no furniture. I got a reply email from the claims manager Xinilia van Wyk on the 26-06-2024. She told me she that she will get back to later that day. It is now 2 weeks later and I still haven’t heard from her. OUTsurance has left me not option but to go to the Ombudsman. This is totally unacceptable. False advertising stating hassle free claims. I’ve only had hassles and stress from them
