This is an email I sent to them. Dear One Deal A Day Team, Good day. I am writing to formally raise my concern regarding my order #878524 , which was not delivered on 5 June as promised, despite your stated 10-day delivery policy. I have made several attempts to get clarity on the whereabouts of my order, but unfortunately, no one at One Deal A Day has been able to provide me with any answers or assistance. Due to the complete lack of communication and the unsatisfactory handling of this matter, I have decided to escalate the issue to the National Consumer Council. I have also reported that One Deal A Day has taken my money under false pretences with no intention of fulfilling the order—an action which I believe constitutes theft. I trust this matter will now receive the attention it deserves. Regards, Brenda van Rensburg
I received my credit report on 8 April 2025, and to my horror, I discovered that DebtBusters wasn't paying my creditors on time, resulting in a bad credit score for late or missed payments. Below is a letter I emailed to elethun@debtbusters.co.za, my debt counsellor at DebtBusters two days ago, and I have had no response. My next step is to take this matter further to the National Credit Regulator. My letter to Debtbusters said: Dear DebtBusters Team, I am writing to formally raise a serious concern regarding my Clearscore/Experian credit report dated 8 April 2024, which was emailed to me earlier today. To my shock and disappointment, I noted several late or missed payments listed during the period I have been under debt counselling. This is entirely unacceptable, as it has negatively impacted my previously perfect credit record while under debt review, resulting in my being blacklisted on all credit bureaus because of these late or missed payments. I demand a satisfactory written explanation from DebtBusters as to why payments to my creditors were either late or missed. My debit order to DebtBusters is deducted from my account promptly on the 1st of every month. It is unacceptable that DebtBusters scheduled creditor payments on the 1st as well, without adjusting the payment dates to account for the receipt of funds. The following accounts reflect late or missed payments: Nedbank Credit Card: September, October, November, and December 2024 ABSA Vehicle Finance: November and December 2024, January and February 2025 I am deeply disappointed that DebtBusters has allowed this situation to damage my credit profile and good standing with my creditors. As previously stated, I should not have entered debt review in the first place, as my monthly repayment amount remains unchanged — the only alteration being the extension of the payment term by five years. I will not accept any explanation over the phone. I insist you provide a detailed written response addressing why my creditors were not paid on time for the abovementioned months. Furthermore, I expect DebtBusters to contact Nedbank Credit Card and ABSA Vehicle Finance directly to set the record straight, so that the credit bureaus can update the actual status of my credit report. I look forward to your urgent attention to this matter.
