Ongoing Water, Electricity & Lift Problems – Poor Management by Ithemba Properties I am a tenant at Carlton View Building and 36 Won Welligh Street Johannesburg CBD and I am extremely frustrated with the poor living conditions and terrible service from Ithemba Properties and the Building Manager, Itumeleng Ngoatse. If it’s not a water crisis, it’s an electricity crisis and the lift is almost always out of order. These are basic services tenants are paying for and have a legal right to under the Rental Housing Act 50 of 1999, yet management keeps failing us. When I raised the recent water issue on the 08 July 2025 at 13:04 with Miss Itumeleng Ngoatse, she responded rudely o at 13:16 as below quote: “I think that question you directed to the wrong person. I am not working at Rand Water or Joburg Water for your information.” This is completely unacceptable. She refuses to assist or escalate issues, and clearly lacks professionalism and accountability. I also sent a complaint to hello@ithembaproperty.co.za on 08 July 2025 at 14:19, and still have received no reply. This silence shows a serious lack of concern from Ithemba Properties. It feels like they are protecting bad behaviour instead of addressing tenant issues. We are preparing to escalate this to the Rental Housing Tribunal. I would not recommend anyone to stay in this building unless you want to suffer constant service issues and disrespectful management.

Security Incident – 15 June 2025
Dear Yellow Peter, I am writing this complaint directly to you to bring to your attention a serious incident that occurred at your store on 15 June 2025 at approximately 12:42 pm. After purchasing a Zamburg at the till, I was stopped at the entrance by a security guard who accused me of being “stubborn” and physically assaulted me by slapping me across the face. Shortly afterwards, another security guard came running and tried to attack me as well. I was forced to flee the store and was pursued all the way to Carton Centre. This incident was humiliating, physically harmful, and a violation of my rights as a customer. It is unacceptable for store security to treat any person this way.
