I wish to complement Simply Asia Plattekloof for their excellent food and great service. This Branch has truly stepped up their game, with the friendly and attentive Jupsie as Manageress and Zandile as head chef, the sky is the limit for this establishment. I ordered numerous dishes and each one was a masterpiece, truly displaying top-class Thai cuisine. I am extremely happy with the spectacular food and professional service provided by Simply Asia Plattekloof. Well done to the team for delivering exceptional dining experiences. All the right notes of Authentic Thai Cuisine. I highly recommend this Branch 🥰 writing this review makes me extremely happy 😊
(I have everything on record of all correspondence) excluding telephone conversations, Have dates times and duration of my calls) Management finally contacted me, still no Thai Style Hot allowed at Simply Asia. Oh and the photos too. I specifically requested my 301 Thai Green Curry Vegetarian with Tofu (I ordered 2)be made not oily or salty and hot, i dont mind a bit of salt but too much makes me ill. I ordered the 303 Basil Chilly Stirfry with beef for my Husband, upon arriving home, I discovered my Thai Green Curry was extremely oily and salty and not green? Definitely not hot. Additionally, my husband received Tofu instead of the Chilli basil with beef that was ordered - this order was Confirmed Twice, on phone and in person. I phoned to inform the Manageress and she said that she was going to return my call. Didn't happen, as you may have guessed. We drove all the way back. I requested a refund for the takeaway dishes as this was not what was ordered and was informed that she's unable to refund me. I had to show her the Consumer Protection Act in order to get my money back for the takeaway. This lack of accountability, complete ignorance and dismissiveness is unacceptable. I am deeply disappointed by the poor quality of both the food and service. This is my experience at Simply Asia Platekloof. Since Busi left the restaurant has been a disaster. Eventually Management contacted me, Thai Style Banned at a Thai Restaurant? I asked if they are unable to make it but allegedly someone ordered Thai Style a d complained it's too hot. Very Silly. I don't have words to describe what a big disappointment this restaurant chain has become.
The big Issue - (I have record of all correspondence) Initially I phoned HQ, the morning after, was informed that the Operational manager was busy and was assured he would return my call. Never called back,but this is nothing new. The next morning I phoned Back, not available. So I sent another email. No reply except from the very nice lady at reception. Yes Eugene. The crazy person you were going to phone back that wanted to know why a Thai Restaurant is incapable of making Thai Style? As per direct instruction of Operation Manager, I understand that's you? So what happened that made me write all this. Since Busi left it's utter chaos - there are far superior authentic Thai Restaurants in Cape Town. I placed order for takeaway food over the phone and confirmed my order upon arrival, at this stage not made yet but I was informed it would take about 35 minutes, no problem. We decided to order a glass of wine and enjoy a starter while waiting. I ordered Vegetarian California Rolls. This was served with Simply Asia "Soy" Sauce, ingredient dried fish extract. When I asked the Manageress why they serve fish with a vegetarian dish, I was informed "it's only a sticker" labeling legislation states the following: "A list of All ingredients in descending order of weight" Only a sticker? Direct quote, with the Simply Asia Branded Label too - Manageress. Then she said it is the same as Kikkoman! She asked what Wang Thai Uses, I said Kikkoman ( did grocery shopping earlier and had my Kikomon sauce refil in the car, asked if she wanted to see). She was not interested. I left it at that. The only reason you even get a star is because of Zandile (good enough to stand her ground against the best Thai Chefs) and the friendly Lady at HQ reception. Please see this as constructive. Do Better.

I wish to compliment Simply Asia Plattekloof, the Manageress, Busi, and the head chef, Zandile - they are truly a dream team! Khop khun ka! 🥰 The food here is absolutely outstanding! Their Thai cuisine is sensational, with a perfect balance of flavors and spices. I ordered the Thai Green vegetarian curry with Tofu x 2, Basil Chilli stir fry with Tofu, and Ramen veg with Tofu - all made in authentic Thai style,coz i love ***x hot, and each dish was perfection! My husband does medium, his order the Peanut Curry, Massaman Curry, and Basil Brinjal with beef, and he was equally impressed. We will definitely be returning for more because the food is so delicious! 😂 thank you Busi, Zandile and Team.
Horrific, the price you see is not the price you pay. They also seem to think that they are above the consumer protection act, if you're lucky you'll receive half the order. I ordered from absolute pets , got a call that can't supply because their prices are wrong 😆 And they online tips to driver never gets to driver, where's the Money, you *******!
We were absolutely blown away by our dining experience at WanThai with our parents, who were trying authentic Thai cuisine for the first time. The service was impeccable, thanks to the Skilled Chefs, attentive manageress, Collette, and exceptional server Barnaby. Every dish we tried was a delectable masterpiece, full of fresh and vibrant flavors. From the starters to the main courses, each dish was a true culinary delight. The Thai Green Seafood Curry, Thai Green Beef Curry, Thai Massaman Prawn Curry, and Wok Fried Chilli & Cashew with Tofu were all exceptional, especially when paired with perfectly cooked Jasmin Rice. Wang Thai truly shines as the best Thai restaurant in town, and we can't wait to return! 🥰
Horrific! Last minute cancelation, not first time and they will not refund your bank account, oh no they keep it on the app without consent 😡 As per consumer protection act: Any delays must be communicated with the consumer, and if delivery is late, the consumer is allowed to cancel the transaction without penalty. The consumer has the right to claim a refund, interest (at the prescribed rate), as well as any costs incurred due to the supplier breaching the terms and conditions of the agreement. Stay away from this *****ulent app 🚩 ⚠️
