Chezlin from Prins Aluminium has been a complete disaster. He was one of the contractors on site for the build of my new home. Various things have gone wrong, massive window not installed securely, extremely dangerous and water pouring through the gaps: peeling paint off brand new door handles etc etc. There is always a snag list on a new build, but his post-work service is appalling. I have contacted him on numerous occasions since April to come and repair with zero response. I do not recommend Prins Aluminium to anybody - atrocious workmanship and no customer service or support when things go wrong!
Absolute ********** service, Vuyani was late, there were only 3 movers and 4 were promised, the truck was too small, Vuyani had quoted for one trip from Camps Bay to Hout Bay, then changed it when seeing what was needed to move and then charged me extra. Threatened to take everything off the truck if the second amount was not settled. I do not recommend his services.
Further to my last review, an update - after 5 months of submitting 2 claims to Standard Bank Insurance - one for a burst geyser and one for a burst water pipe. We still have not received the monies for the burst geyser (apparently it is imminent) and then yesterday we were informed that they will not be covering the burst water pipe. What is the point of having home insurance if you are not going to cover issues that we have insurance for?? It has taken them 5 months with absolutely atrocious communication and customer service to be told that the burst water pipe will not be covered. How is this possible? Every other insurance company that we deal with have been efficient, communicative, responsive and have covered what we pay monthly premiums for. It has been 5 months of hell and Standard Bank Insurance have given empty promises, **** and zero consistency. Shocking service from an established institution. I sincerely recommend that you do not consider Standard Bank Insurance if you are seeking home insurance.
What an absolutely disastrous company/bank. We have had home insurance with Standard Bank for numerous years. In April 2024 we had a burst water pipe as well as a burst geyser. We are STILL waiting for them to complete the claim for the burst water pipe. Absolutely ZERO communication from SB side, different agent all the time, no consistency, they request random documents and items that are not relevant. They have stalled this claim for nearly 6 months now - nobody comes back to you - it is just an endless stream of emails, phone calls and nothing is ever accomplished. They should be ashamed of themselves - customer service - non existent! Get your act together Standard Bank - correspondence is everything in this day and age - use it!!! My advice - do not use Standard Bank in any shape or form - 100% useless.
