Be very sure before you deal with this business. Had my Volvo rim send to them by the business that had to repair the car after hitting a pothole. Rim came back craftsmanship is ****, rim had a dent in it and the skimmed so much material of the rim that the clear bead on the outside of the rim was 12mm instead of 6 mm. When contacted regarding the bad repair the answer was "remember the client gave us a secondhand rim" I rest my case right there. Then came the question regarding the pressure censor in the tire their answer " there never was a pressure unit in the wheel". So your wheel will look **** and your censor will be gone. Had the car serviced a week before with Volvo, they would not have given the car back with a censor gone. Maybe rims like Volvo and other cars are a bit too big a ask for these guys and then dont trust them with anything. They will just say it was not there and you gave us a second hand rim.
I am sure you could be satisfied with your installation but thats where your positive experience will stop. You have not been informed of all the stupid rules they have and then when you need them they will use that against you. They are a second place rated company with second rated customer service. As soon as they have your money you are just a number and don't dare to challenge anything they decide. They will harass and intimidate you with **** internal messages they say you send them and you can do nothing about it. Customer service drops the phone on you and all of this is acceptable to them. Don't be surprised if you don't get what you paid for.
Cartrack claim to be the best, weel my new car was ****** without Cartrack even aware of it was ******. Was at the Police station for to report when they called me and said they found the car. 10 min later a call sorry not tour car and it is gone till today. Here is the question how do you have it and then not. Sounds like some deals were made in 10 min and car is gone till today. Then on top of that no R150k insurance payout due to some two stupid rules that makes it completely the customers responsibility and Cartrack takes no responsibility. Found then gone? Don' trust this company they are not looking after your intrest.
Cartrack is ****ming customers out of they hard earned money, don't trust them when they try to sell you insurance if they can't find your car within 60 days and yes *****'s know how to bypass their tracker or know where to find the tracker within minutes and your car is gone. Don't bargain on getting your R150k insurance that you paid for they will hit with any and every reason why you do not qualify for it even though they took your money and made comfortable with putting you under the impression sleep well your car is protected by us and we will pay you R150k if we can't find it in 60 days. Don't be fooled watch out. How can *****'s know where the tracker is installed? How can *****'s disable their tracker within minutes that not even tracker know your car is ******. Don't sleep so peaceful as they want you to, don't go to the mall and think your car is safe. IT IS NOT. Your installation info is possibly already out there and someone knows where your tracker is installed. Very easy, if you stay in Benoni the installer Hilux left back door, Fotuner front left door, Cross boot left side, polo left back door and so on. So *****ing your car is as good as we know where it is and we will take it if we need it. And if they can not find your car in 60 days they don't take responsibility at all, it's all about what you as the customer did wrong and no R150k and thats it. No customer questions will be answered or even taken into account you are. They will keep on taking your money even if they know you have not comp**** with two stupid rules that has no bearing on the outcome of their in ability to find your car, and like that they ****med you out of R150k. They will not inform you in any way about these two stupid rules or remind you of them because they don' want to pay you R150k insurance but will gladly take you money and keep you under the impression sleep well we have you back. There are many other tracking companies think twice before you fall for empty promises and think Catrack take care of their customers.
Make sure you are properly informed by the agent that sells you Cartrack service. Make sure you call is recorded and ask a copy of that recording. If you dont Cartrack will say we told you even if they did not. You can not trust Catrack at face value make sure you have a record of your conversation and have a leg to stand on when they refuse to come to the party with what they owe you.
After many calls Cartrack goes silent, just a guy that calls you after you post something on Hellopeter to sweet talk you. There insurance when they can't find your car after 60 days is a true fairy tale. They will not payout if you don't put is a claim 30 after the theft and 30 before they still 30 days to find it. That is like claiming your death policy 30 days before you die. Stupid rule that will not change the outcome on of their side but they will not inform you of this rule and will not remind you of this stupid rule. For one they dont have to pay then and after 30 days they dont have to look for your car no use if they know they are not going to have to pay R150k for not finding your car. Looks like a win win for Cartrack. You paid your premie and a stupid rule that does not change the outcome of the 60 days they will deny your payout. These people are as good a ****mers as I have hade delt with insurance business. They will keep taking your money while they save not having to look for your car after their devise has been disabled and your car is gone and you did not claim even if they still had 30 more days to find it, dont forget they dont have wast recourses after 30 days to look for your car. And they smile all the way to the bank.
Still have not received the R150k insurance I paid for every month. Did not did not 90day test. My new car was ****** and Cartrack could not find it as their tracker was disables within 150 from where the car was ******. Cartrack plays a game where they dont tell you about the 90day checkin, that you call them to ask if their tracker is still working even thou they do check it themselfs and you can see it working on your app, you still have to call them to see if it works. So after you do not checkin every 90 days, YOU LOSE YOUR INSURANCE AND WILL NOT GET R150k, but they will continue to deduct your premium knowing that they will not have to pay the the R150k. They dont call you to say you missed your checkin no they just let it slide and smile. This is the stupid rule: 10.1.3. It is the responsibility of the Client to: 10.1.3.4. Contact Cartrack every calendar quarter to test the Unit, notwithstanding any system generated or courtesy testing undertaken by Cartrack. If notified by Cartrack that the Unit is faulty, the Client must make the Vehicle available for inspection within 3 (three) working days; You did not test your unit quarterly. And the result no pay out even if you paid for it. It is like having to call your live insurer every three months to confirm you are still alive. So when you claim they through the small print at you. THEY DO NOT INFORM YOU OF THIS RULE. They wait for your 90 days and they take no further responsibility you are out BUT THEY TOOK YOUR MONEY
Cartrack is aware but they still sell you a product that can be completely disabled, that neither you or Cartrack wil know your car has been ******. You might wakeup and your car is gone and when you phone Cartrack to ask where is your car they will not be able to find it. Their device can be disabled with in 150 m. And they take no responsibility just say sorry and that is it.
Thought that Cartrck was or is a customer focused business, not true. You pay your dues every month then Cartrack expects you the customer to make sure the unit is working and contact them to confirm the unit is working every 3 months or you lose the insurance bonus they so eagerly sell you, o no they dont tell you that when you sign they also dont tell you that you have to put in your claim for the insurance payout 30 days after car was stollen or you loose you insurance claim. So you have to put in a claim 30 days before the 60 days are done. So it is your responsibility to make sure Catrack are doing their job. The system in your car can be deactivated not disconnected deactivated or disabled as with my car in 150m and is done undetected by Cartrack. When my car was stollen I had to phone Cartrack to inform them that the car was ******, they did not even know it was ******. Why are we paying for a service that Cartrack can not even detect when your car is ******. Bottom line if you are a Cartrack client and you have the insurance claim option and you have not checked in with Cartrack YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE THE R150k they will not tell you that you have not checked in and lost the insurance but they will keep on taking your money as if you have insurance. That is not ethical and maybe ever ********. How do fill in a claim 30 days before you can claim? This is just a simple way to confuse customers and use that as an excuse not to pay. Not good and not good business. Whats out for these guys!!
Car was ****** and they did not find it within 60. Called them after 60 days and the first 3 people I spoke to had no idea about the R150k they payout after 60 days and the fourth person said she would send an email to the broker agent but nothing yet. Very easy to take your money not so easy if they have to live up to their promises .
