My elderly mom wanted to use Property 24, in 2024 to advertise the bachelor she had for rent. I helped her put up a listing but we cancelled it before it got published. Yesterday we tried to publish an ad for the 2-bed. Property 24 changed the occupancy date of the old ad and published the old bachelor ad instead of the 2-bed, which had the correct occupancy date. My mom had to field a barrage of phone calls for 18 hours before they finally removed it. Then they had a problem with the photos being in portrait format on the new ad and wouldn't approve it, although the incorrect ad they did post also had the same kind of photos. I explained it was all we had at this stage and we couldn't take new ones now. But I adjusted the portrait for landscape viewing by adding borders that kept the pixel quality, ratio and perspective. They didn't like that. Then they said I should add the walk-through video I had, by posting it to YouTube and send a link. I did that but the video was also done in portrait and they simply wouldn't have that. I used a video editor to make it fit landscape mode which wasn't good enough either. I again explained that 99% of the end-users would be viewing it in portrait on their phones anyway. They could not give an explanation as to why this is such an insurmountable problem. But will refund us. Thus now we are sitting with a messy current tenant that is keeping us from taking proper LANDSCAPE photos of value and a property we can't advertise with the nice photos we do have because of an illogical policy. Meaning a loss of income for us. You have willing advertisers and willing rentees, fully able to maneuver a video and photos in portrait, but the advertising platform that is unable to.
Quick, to the point, went above and beyond to meet our needs.
