They last rep**** to my review by saying I will receive a call from one of their consultants, to this day I haven't received any communication from them. The problems still remains unsolved. As we speak my mom has been calling them since last week regarding the last payment of the year. Nokuzola Masina said the payment will be made yesterday which was the 18/12/2024 . Today when she called no one answered the calls throughout the day, I wrote an email to Mpho Makatikela, only to get an automatic response saying she is on leave till the 10th of January 2025, As our administrator I feel she should have made sure eveyone was paid before going to leave.My mom is old, and the frustrations she always faces every time they need to pay is really putting a strain on her health. Why is it so hard to deposit quartely payments on time ? Payments are made every three months but they are never on time, its been 3 years now and I am always left baffled by their incompetence. To anyone thinking of signing up with this Trust with the intent of their kids being well taken cared for after they pass on. DON'T DO IT! You will be signing up for frustration and stress.
My mom has had problems with my sibling's quartely payments since 2022. Before they can get the money they have to call in for days and I also have to write emails to Mpho Makatikela, the payments are just never on time. It is so frustrating because Mpho hardly ever answers the calls, when she does she will tell you she doesn't know. When you ask to speak to someone who knows the answers since she doesn't, she always says her supervisor is either not available or on leave. It's so disappointing to see they lack the very same things that one first sees on their website which is Accessibility and Transparency. I have requested financial statements via email on the 18th of September 2024 and have been following up with emails and calls that never get answered. It is now the 22nd of October 2024. Over a month and still no reply nor statements sent to my email. We have lost trust in SALT and if it were up to us, we would have long changed to another trust. Why are we not sent financial statements to track the beneficiaries' funds? I suspect foul play. I have sent complaints on numerous occasions on the company website but to this day no one has ever followed up by calling me on the numbers i provided on the form or my email. My siblings are suffering yet my dad left them money so that they can be well taken cared of even after he departs.
