24 Months Broken Hip
On 8 December 2022 my mum fell and I rushed her to the Emergency Room. She was in so much pain. The took her into the emergency room and we were very pleased when the dr come to see my mum, because we recently moved to her, she was our GP and another facility. Dr Coetzee sent her for a sonar of her hip. She sent my mum home with just Vimovo 500/20 because that is it that my mum could take, because she can't take any other pain medication. She didn't sent her for X-rays, just for a sonar. She said nothing is broken, she is just a bit sore from the fall, it is inflammation. If this Emergency Medicine Doctor did a X-ray, she would have seen that the hip was broken and that my mum needed a hip replacement. She was three weeks in so much pain, that we took her on the 27th to Intercare Wonderboom Junction. The took an X-ray of her hip and send us to a Dr Helene Basson at Eugene Marais, she said she doesn't do Hip replacements but we must go to Eugene Marais and Dr Jan DC Heymans will do the operation. If dr Marie Coetzee did her work correctly, my mum would be up and running, but this past 2 years were hell!!!!!! She was in Eugene Marais for more that 80 days in 2024 due to her hip being removed and she picked up a super bug the 1st time that needed to be sorted out. And after 2 years, we are hoping to get another hip replacement done in the new year
