Dishonesty and Not fulfilling advertising specials
During November was interested in obtaining solar package for my home. Spoke to Darren at SolarX. We settled on package deal. As it was close to Black Friday, I enquired about this, and was told by Darren that it won't be a problem to include anything if there was. As November progressed, in the 3rd week they put out their Black Friday special, ad read : "FREE SOLAR PUMP WITH EVERY SUBSCRIPTION SIGN UP until end of November" (Value R5000-R7000) I phoned Darren to enquire about it as I had not completed signing contracts and was prepared to wait until Black Friday to complete signing and then have installation done after that in December. He assured me I will qualify for it and it will be sorted out and installation can be done before the 29 November. When team arrived on the 26th for installation, no pool pump. When I phoned Darren, he responded he will get back to me as he has not spoken to his Director yet. On the 29th I called him, his response is that his director said I don't qualify for the pool pump as I don't have a pool, (Yet I phoned and enquired before completing documentation). Nothing was said about any other compensation to the the value of the pool pump as every household does not have a pool. What I chose to do with pool pump was solely at my discretion as it was the incentive to take out the contract. I was led to believe I would get the pump. MORAL OF STORY: DON'T TAKE ANY PERSONS WORD FOR ANYTHING, GET IT IN WRITING AS COMPANIES CAN BE VERY *********. Didn't get 1 star because installation team is very professional and installation was done professionally.
