I have read most of the reviews posted on various sites where Montecasino has received mamy terrible negative reviews. And I am quite shocked. My experience with Montecasino has been 80% positive. It is a safe place for an older woman to spend time, have some fun, enjoy a lovely meal from any of the numerous restaurants based on the premises and play cards or the machines. I recently spent a lot of time there and with the exception of only two employees out of the hundred they surely employ, everyone was amazing. From Managers, Oupa, Tulane and Tsepho in Privè, the waiters, the security teams all the way to Rosina, the cleaning lady, they, are lovely lovely people. One bartender was particularly constantly rude to me in Privè and two Pit Bosses on the main floor were horrible. I chatted to a few restaurant managers and they all had only positive things to say about their tenancy within Montecasino. Noma from Texas Wings Bar has been working at the restaurant since it opened there in 2018 and loves the location. Siya from Nomad agrees completely. He too has been with his restaurant for a year and a half and says the foot traffic that the restaurant receives because of Montecasino is incredible. They are always full. I visited 8 restaurants and they unanimously agree. My personal experience with Montecasino has been ALMOST perfection. The dealers on the main floor are highly professional for sure but also friendly and nice. Privè, they are a little stricter and more severe. And then of course there were those three people who were rude and nasty. Overall, I highly recommend Montecasino as a place for a woman to just have a great night out if she finds herself on her own and looking for some light entertainment, a great meal and friendly faces.
I had an account with Capitec for many years. Loved the bank, loved the easy to use app. About two months ago, I had weird sms messages and it seemed there was ***** on my account. I was advised to open a new account. I went to Rivonia branch, closed my account and started the process of opening a new one. They requested my docs which I provided and submitted. Many many emails later, I was told that I would see my new account details on my capitec app within 48 hours. Many visits to the branch, many more emails and still nothing two months later. Eventually closed everything and went to a different bank where I am very happy. What the heck has happened to Capitec though? What an awful experience!!! I'm not being very clear about the frustration and difficulty. I had no money and there were TWO long holiday weekends while all this was going on. I hate Capitec Bank!!!
I have had the BEST experience at this hotel and believe me, I have traveled extensively and stayed in some amazing hotels. From the front desk to the general manager, all the staff are professional and friendly. Willing to go the extra mile to make the guest comfortable. This hotel has made me feel like family, not just a random paying guest. Thank you Mint Express for everything. I have never felt more welcome. I don't know what Oscar is complaining about.
