Bought a TV at Bradlows and it was insured since it was bought on credit.My house was broken into on one Sunday late December/early January 2026, when we came home from churwe noticed a strange guy carrying our tv leaving the house and we screemed and he dropped he TV and ran away.We opened the gate and picked up our TV and reported the case in SAPS Chatsworth and got a case number and reported at Bradlows in Chatsworth.At first they said after reporting this,that i have arrears and need to pay arrears first before they can act upon this case....Till now we've been sent from Pillar to post by Bradlows and their insurance company. Yesterday the 26 of Feb 2026 they sent some guys to investigate the matter ....and told us that there will send some guys again ....and it's been almost 2 months now without TV cos the screen only appears half....it seems as if they trying to shift the blame soo they won't replace the TV.
I bought a 65 cm tv at Bradlows in Chatsworth branch and my house was broken into and fortunately by the time we arrived from church the intruder was leaving carrying our tv and suddenly upon seeing us he dropped the tv and ran away,and our tv was damaged.We went to our Chatsworth SAPS and opened a case and also went to Bradlows to submit the case number and asked for the insurance claim for our tv and were told to wait for the insurance (ABACUS INSURANCE)to respond.We got a call from the ao called insurance asking us to first pay the arrears from the shop and we did that and waited till we decided to visit Bradlows and asked what's going on and they said the Abacus insurance people will send someone to assess the damage on tv and we have to also pay for that.Mind you this happened around 10 or Soo in January.We been going to Bradlows about this but apparently this so called Abacus insurance is not helping at all.I then called them(ABACUS) on the 10/2/2026 and told them I'm tired of this run around they are doing of which if by the end of the day they don't act I'll report to Helo Peter.The lady who assisted me laughed and till now there is no response from Abacus Insurance Linited
