I booked an online flight for my young sister from O R Tambo to Harare on the 8th of Feb 2025. Money funds were debited from account waited over 24 hours for my E-ticket which was not issued, called them to enquire and was advised that the booking timed out, I should rebook again. But this time I use a different agent. Since from the 10th of February till today I have been calling for my refund which they still advise on 72 hours to be processed. Friendly advice; If you still want to stay healthy and keep sane never book with Flight Network, they are a bunch of ****mers. Bad and professional customer care.
I had an incident in December where my cheque card was compromised on an online email from ****mers posing as Afrihost requiring me to renew my domain with 90 rands when I clicked to make payment. It sent me to a 3D verification where I generated an otp which I did not receive. The only sms that came through my phone at 16:29 was notifying me that 20 931 rands was debited from my account then at 16:30 that’s when I only receive the otp and the Pop up authorisation sms that required me to accept or decline the online payment of R20 931. I called the ***** department and opened a case of ***** with SAPS. However Standard Bank declined to refund my funds claiming that authorised the transaction with an otp regardless of me sending them the proof that otp only came through after the money was debited. I was devastated coz that was almost my whole salary. And I feel Standard Bank failed to protect my funds and refusing to take responsibility of their unsafe banking system.
