I purchased a 500 gram pack of Renown Red viennas from Shoprite Maitland on 21/11/2025. I have purchased this product befre and was satisfied with the quality and texture. But this time it was tastless and it had a strange texture. I filled in a customer care complaint on one of their websites (which fo rthe life of me I am unable to locate now), detailing my my complaint with pictures of the package and my till slip, but to date did not even receive an acknowledgement of my complaint. I find this attitude offensive and arrogant. I tried getting back onto the web page/site where I i lodged my complaint but it was impossible. Their corporate structure is so complex that I found it impossible to access the corrrect department/people. I just find it immoral tha we ordinary fflkare eventually forced to give while the fat cat owners of these businesses couldn't give a damn. Please help. Thank you.
A dishonest, if not thieving outfit. They should be ********ly charged. First off I was told that the cost would be R15. It turned out that they deducted the R15 and an additional R443. I thought, ok, if it turns out that they can give me useful advice, it would be money well spent. After sending a deta**** description of my problem to the "mechanics assistant", I was connected to a "technician". The "technician" asked me some questions that I had already given the answers to to the "mechanics assistant". Anyway I patiently repeated the details of my problem. As it turns out the same questions were put to me by the technician, whereupon I realised that this technician has so far not given me any advice, and probably would not be able to. I was given an option to rate my experience and I gave it 2 stars. They then offered to connect me to another technician, which I politely refused and asked for a refund. They persisted in offering me an alternative technician and which I persisted in turning down, and again reqested a refund (because before I authorised payment I was told that if I was not satisfied with the service I would get full refund). Eventually I was transferred to an attorney's page. I can't believe that I was so thoroughly conned. AVOID.
