I tried using maxim for the first time, i booked a ride and had to cancel because i wanted to change my address I added my card and cancel the ride and got a notification my money will be refunded back into my account however its been 24 hours and I still have not received the money back. Maxim is a **** and is robbing the people of their money. Do not download this app or even use it. Its dangerous and a ****.

I purchased a queen size bed on credit from this store at the branch in Parow voortrekker and had to cancel the agreement three days after purchase as I was not satisfied with the bed. I informed them about the cancelation three days after purchase which was in their 5 day cancelation policy. They told me that they had to first collect the bed in order to cancel. They took a whole week to collect the bed from my place and after calling the branch multiple times they finally picked up the bed. I then called them the day after they picked up the bed regarding the cancelation and the manager herself told me on the call that the bed agreement was cancelled and that they could not provide me with no form of cancelation proof which I believe is impossible because this is supposed to be a furniture store that could provide their customers with proof of cancellation the same way they can provide you with agreement documents when making a purchase. I then called the sales consultant that helped me make the purchase and she also told me the bed was canceled but she can't send me proof of cancellation and she said that there will be no balance due to be paid. I was concerned as I got no proof that the cancelation was actually put through and after calling my service provider(bank) to ask if the authorization was canceled the lady told me no it was not canceled meaning they would've taken the first payment end of February 2025 without your knowledge and she said that once they take the first payment end of the month there was no way of getting it back. I then suspended the authorization and informed the branch about this, that just made it more concerning because firstly, the store could not give me proof of cancellation and secondly the authorization by the bank was still active. So when checking my accounts on Clear score I saw that I got a high balance amount due to the Lewis Store and when I called the branch to query about this, the consultant that picked up said that I got the exact balance due on my account. I asked to speak to the manager, the manager then told me that there is no balance due on my account as the bed was canceled and when she transferred me to the sales consultant that helped me make the purchase the lady said there was nothing due to them however clear score and the first sales consultant that I spoke with on the phone said different. I would not recommend this store to anyone as firstly, their customer service was super bad and communication between you as the customer and the store is terrible as I had to keep calling them every day to get this sorted and still no resolution from this store. They were quick to deliver the bed the same day of purchase however when I had to cancel they dragged the process and took a whole week to collect the bed. I even raised a complaint to their head office and still no resolution, the agent that handled my complaint said she will get back to me and still she never called. I now have a high balance due to them on my account with no bed and no reason for that balance due and fact of the matter is that they lying to me by saying I have no balance due to them but on my account on Clear score clearly shows how much I'm currently due to them which they have no answer to that which they completely lying about. They put you in debt to them when you got no proof of cancellation to take them further. Do not buy from any Lewis branch as they give bad customer service along with their Manager/ Assisting Manager and consultants lie to their customers and just wants to make money out of you and if you request to cancel you put you in more debt when there is no reason to. I am so disappointed in this branch and their head office as no one can assist me regarding the balance due that I have no knowledge of. I need help getting this off my name and do not know where to start or where to find help.
I purchased a queen size bed on credit 2 weeks ago I then went to the store the third day of purchase to cancel the agreement because the bed won't fit into the place I'm moving into, on the contract it stated if you dissatisfied with the item you should cancel it within 5 within of purchases They told me they still have to pick up the bed in order to cancel the agreement they took a whole week to pick up the bed after telling me everyday for a whole week they will pick up the bed the next day. They had problems with the bakkie which I do not understand how a big company that sells valuable items only got one bakkie. After calling whole day I even called their Head office, raised a complaint and explain the problem I was having they only picked up the bed a week after I cancelled the agreement. I am having a problem with this Branch as I do not understand how they could tell me that I won't have to sign anything to show proof of cancellation, they will cancel it on their systems but when I purchased the bed I had to sign alot of paperwork. I do not trust this Branch anymore as they provided me with bad customer service for the after week and made no communication with me after I informed them about the canceling and now I do not trust them with this cancellation process because how will I be assured that the agreement is cancelled if they can't even provide me with proof of that. They were so quick and help and deliver the bed same day of purchase but when I informed them about canceling I received nothing but bad customer service and bad communication skills even from the Assistant Manager and sales consultant that assisted me the first day. I need help as they will not give me proof of cancellation after asking the sales consultant.
