At just ~30,000km, our Haval’s engine completely failed and had to be replaced. At first, we were told it wasn’t covered under warranty because of a “missed service,” but after pushing back, they admitted it was under warranty. We were still charged over R20,000 — only refunded after a serious fight. This happened in January 2025. Now, in May, the car broke down again and had to be towed to the Edenvale branch. We are being told to pay out of pocket once more — and Boksburg refuses to take responsibility for what now appears to be a poorly done engine replacement. In the last few months, here’s what we’ve dealt with: Knocking noise every time the engine starts Oil stains on engine parts and surrounding areas Engine compartment was not cleaned after engine replacement Scuff marks on driver & passenger steps Radiator fluid leaking onto the gearbox Scratches on radiator cover — no protection used Broken radiator clips — clearly incorrect tools/procedures used Multiple clips missing in the engine compartment Fuel pipe clip damaged during engine replacement, eventually fell out and led to the breakdown And to top it off — the original service book disappeared while at their service center Haval Boksburg needs to be held accountable. After so much drama last week, I finally received a new unit on Friday adternoon 5pm! They still haven’t deinstalled the tracker from my old car and clearly they won’t! BUT THEY REFUSE TO GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK FOR THE WORK NOT DONE OF DEINSTALLING AND REINSTALLING!!! spoke to Ayanda in queries and she gave me such attitude because how can I won’t my money back even if they put a new unit in my car!!! Fact is I paid for a service that was not done!!!! And then to top it off, she put the phone down on my ear after confronting her about her bad attitude!! I have never been so disappointed in a service like I am with this company!!!! It is a disgrace!!!!
Dear Cartrack Your sales team phoned me for over a year begging me to sign up, which I eventually did. I have a 3-year contract with you, awesome! I bought a new car, and I phoned them last week Tuesday to do a deinstallation and to fit that unit into my new car, they said it would cost 870 to do which no problem you took the money off my account straight away! Over a week now and nothing has been done to get the work sorted out always excuses we phoned the dealership where my car is, and they don’t answer! It’s over a week now! I phoned again this morning and no concrete answers as to when this will be done! My new car is now sitting without a tracker, and my monthly debt order just came off! How awesome is that???? I want a unit fitted into my car and you will not charge me an extra 600 because you Cartrack cannot retrieve the other unit from my old car! If this is not done, I will start processing's with the ombudsman and I will cancel my contract with you and I won’t pay the 3000 that you told me I need to pay if I cancel! This is unnecessary b.s DO YOUR JOB; I am a paying customer even though I’m not getting the service I paid for!!!! I want this escalated and sorted out this week! I’m done playing little phone games with your call center!!! My phone number is 0*********(phone me to sort this out) ASAP PS if my car gets ****** and my insurance doesn’t pay out due to it not having a tracker YOU WILL BE LIABLE FOR ALL COSTS INCURRED!!!!
