The service I received was exceptional. A seamless claim process. The service provider was appointed almost immediately, and they had all the relevant detail of the claim when I arrived for the work to be done
MTN agents called me endlessly to ask me to do an upgrade on my contract which expired over 12 months ago. Eventually I agree to the upgrade. It than takes over 6 weeks for the upgrade to be done. Than i get debited with an amount 2 times for than the amount I contracted for. When I investigate, I note that I have been charged an upgrade fee of over R900.00. This amount is not in the contract and the agent did not advise me of the charge. The only answer I get from MTN is this is how it works.
I have used the services of ADT in Cape Town as an armed response service for the apartment my daughter lived in for 5 years, paying subscriptions diligently. I sold the apartment in April 2024 and gave ADT notice via email to cancel the service. They continued to process the debit order which I stopped with my bank. Lizel from the accounts department called me when the 1st debit order was retuned and I duly informed her that I cancelled the service. ADT simply changed the date they processed the debit order and the bank honored it as the date was different to the stop payment. Then they increased the debit order so they could get payment. After 10 months they finally cancel the service but refuse to refund the money they collected post May 24. I supposed used an incorrect email address even though I have had a number of telephonic discussions with Lizel from the accounts department after the email was sent. So even if the email address was incorrect they were aware of the cancellation by way of the debit order returns from the bank and the conversations I had with their accounts department. This is just ********* behaviour
The claim process was quick and easy. Job allocation was efficient, and they followed up to check when the job was taking a little longer than planned. Insurance premiums are not cheap, but it is worth paying when this is the level of service you get
