Bosch Car Service Lenasia is ****ming and very unprofessional. I took my car there when it had engen problems. Yes it was towed in and not running but they took out the top and took it to engineering to evaluate it. It came back and they did all the qoutations then the insurance paid. When they called me to fetch the car they then said they poured petrol to test it and I have to pay extra money for that petrol without even telling me before. Again they started saying they then detected that the car was miss firing so there's a coil that they replaced and I have to pay for it, without them letting me know first. So they charged me extra money on the side after the insurance paid all the expenses. This extra money was for things they did without even telling me. They made an extra invoice for these things on the side and informed me about them only when it was time for me to fetch the car and they said I can't take the car without paying that extra money. Wich there's not even proof that they poured petrol in my car and changed the coil. The old coil that they gave me could've been taken from another car that looks like mine, that petrol slip they gave me does not really prove that the petrol was poured in my car. Initially they charged R18359,00 then insurance paid it. When I fetched the car I found them having done that extra invoice then all in all I had to pay R19140, 00 in total. I took the car and they told me that it had a guarantee for 10000km after they fixed it if it had the same problem it had when I took it in. The car still had the smoking problem it had when I initially took it in and when I told them they said it's because it was not moving for 5 months so if I pour enough petrol then drive it around for a bit of a longer distance then it will run the smoke off. I poured petrol and drove it around but it still smoked then I realized it was leaking. I took it back again and now they telling me that they didn't fix under the engine and they still want me to pay for that again. So they took almost R20k and the car still comes back not completely fixed with the problem it had initially when it went there and instead of completing their job, they still want more money from me whereas they are the ones who did an incomplete job. This is totally unacceptable and *******. 🤞🏻 😡
It was on the 21st December 2024 when a consultant by the name of Kutloano Thuso. He said my warranty plan will have a benefit of road side assistance whereby I'll get petrol assistance should I get stuck and I won't even have to pay for the petrol. I asked him 3 times if he was sure I won't have to pay for the petrol and he still agreed. I told him that I don't want any problems should I be in need of petrol assistance and he still said I won't have any, I'll be assisted with petrol if I get stuck and I won't have to pay for that petrol. It happened I got stuck and when I needed assistance I wasn't helped the way I was told I'd be helped. I escalated the matter and I was told that they doing an investigation and as soon as they find that recording they will refund my petrol money. They never got back to me then on Friday the 4th of April my car started smoking, shaking, spilling petrol out of the exhaust pipe and had no power. Monday I couldn't go anywhere with the car, it couldn't go far as it was powerless and spilled petrol. I then called to claim from my warranty plan. They kept on transferring me to the towing department while processing my claim then they started telling me that my policy is inactive. I then asked how is it inactive while I'm paying it, it's on debicheck, the amount gets debited every month and the claim is already on process?? Then the lady said no I don't have towing benefits. I asked how do I not have towing benefits then she told me I'm with 1st for woman. I told her that I have a warranty plan with Auto & General of wich I claimed from and my claim is being processed and all she needed to do is organise towing to the nearest RMI. She still couldn't assist me so I got someone else who then saw that my policy is indeed active and then tried to organise towing with someone else but still I didn't get help then the next thing a consultant in the claims department by the name of Lindiwe told me that because my incident 1st started on the 4th of April 2025 and my waiting period ends on the 7th April 2025 they take that as a pre-existing condition. Now how can it be a pre-existing condition when it only started 3days before the waiting period ends and I made the claim after the waiting period ended because that was only when I couldn't go anywhere with the car. They still said they can't help me, they will reject the claim. I was then forced to cancel the policy because of this very I'll treatment, incompetency and dishonesty. I trusted this Auto & General company but after the treatment and experience I got I was very much disappointed and hurt.
