Stodels Garden Centres is utterly useless. 9 days ago I ordered a few bags of cucumber seeds for delivery to Kenilworth in Cape Town. Delivery is only in Cape Town. Caoe Town is not a big city, delivery should take 1-2 days maximum. I have not yet received delivery, why? The answer is a complete joke. I asked the Stodels helpline receptionist and she said thaf the order hadn't been delivered because all Stodels staff were attending a braai function and thus they couldnt speak to me. DO NOT order line with Stodels Utterly useless.
Vox Telecom is utterly useless and ***********. I have for months now been trying to get a breakdown of the cancellation fee that they allege I owe them. I spoke to a manager named Damian months ago who was initially very helpful and he promised me a fee breakdown. Months later and still no fee breakdown despite requests for him to call me back. Today I received a demand for payment of the figure (without a fee breakdown). I called Vox to try and speak to Damian the manager, but was told via a sales operator that Damian said I must speak to the billing department. Eventually Damian reluctantly agreed to call me back- and still no call. I had spkken to Damian specifically because the billing department were not sending me a fee breakdown. I spoke to someone again today in the billing department and she could not either help me with a breakdown. How does Vox keep customers? The mind boggles. I want to pay them a reasonable cancellation fee (as per the Consumer Protection Act) but I cannot tell if the fee they demand is reasonable because I get no breakdown. It is like dealing with Home Affairs, pathetic.
Vox Telecom is attempting to ****** me. Vox Telecom is claiming from me a cancellation fee that is in breach of section 4(3)(a) of the Consumer Protection Act. Vox Telecom claims that I owe the full amount payable under the contract (all of the remaining 9 months) in terms of an ******** contract term in their subscriber agreement that dictates the payment of a cancellation fee equal to the entire amount due on the contract. Section 4(3)(a) of the Consumer Protection Act protects consumers from these sorts of ridiculous cancellation penalties in that a reasonable cancellation fee is due. Do not sign a Vox subscriber agreement, they will sting you for the full amount if you cancel before the contract runs its course, and give you the run around trying to sort it out. Stay away from Vox is my advice. Consumers shouldnt have to spend days on the phone trying to stop companies from ******** charging them exorbitant cancellation fees. I received a phone call from Vox today for the first time after multiple emails and call center call back requests. Vox has been utterly useless in addressing my query. Despite my attempts to speak to someone in the Vox Telecom legal department, I do not for some reason hear from their in house legal advisors. All I want is to pay a reasonable cancellation fee and move on, but this seems too complex a request for Vox to understand (OR they are too dishonest to own up to their breaking the law and just play dumb). I cannot recommend enough that you stay away from Vox.
