At this point I really wonder what good even this review will do - Takealot clearly does not care. As others have mentioned, one cannot objectively review a product or service on their site - and lets face it, their after sales service would improve if it were automated (honestly, no joke). They send incorrect products frequently and one has to BATTLE to get it exchanged for the correct product, or then later to get your refund. Its just large-scale terrible service - beware.

My disillusionment with Evetech is sadly a long one - starting with that they shipped me a R30k pc which bluescreened on arrival. This I managed to fix myself by undoing the overclocking settings.

My main problem arose more recently when the Corsair H100i CPU watercooler pump completely failed. Whereas the sales person expressly told me in writing that the CPU cooler had a 5-year warranty at the time of purchase, because the problem occurred just outside of 2 years (Evetech's standard overall warranty period), the tech support person whom I spoke to - Justin Conradie - clearly had no interest in helping from the very start.

In summary - several emails later (most of which Justin merely ignored and didn't even bother to respond to), Evetech claims that secondary damange of the radiator fins of the cooler now voided the warranty, which occurred during shipping,

I repeatedly (and always in writing) offered them opportunity to try and rectify the matter - and Justin's replies (when he even bothered to reply) just became more curt as they clearly just don't even want to bother trying to assist.

My recommendation - avoid Evetech at all cost. For the premium price one pays for PC assembly through them - not even done well as their reputation might imply and in particular given the shocking after-sales service which seems acceptable - your hard-earned money can be better spent elsewhere.

Repeated unsolicited calls, SMSs etc without legal authorisation to use personal information for marketing purposes.

The DMA is just a complete joke - cannot wait for someone to sue a company a like this providing/using personal details in contravention of POPIA.

ps: Journey Vehicle and Asset Finance used to be licensed with the FSB back in 2006... that licence lapsed in 2008 - so they are very likely even providing lending/financing services in contravention of several other legal statutes.
