I bought citro soda and it had 50% contents in the bottle. I complained on the consumer Facebook profile via inbox and the response was that the company follows strict quality regulations and inspections and that they’re sorry for my experience… sorry adckock, but not in this economy. This inconvenience highly contradicts your failure proof quality system
I ordered a household item from Takealot, I was mostly encouraged by the ETA. When I was done ordering, indeed my order was scheduled for delivery the next day. I live in Heidelberg and I used my work address. I tracked my order in the morning and was updated as shipped at 10:53. There were no live updates on their app so I had to stay at work and wait for an update. I got an update around 15:00 that my parcel was now at the pick up point in Alberton Alroad. I decided to go and collect as I needed the item urgently and I used GPS, using directions provided on google maps. When I got there, the security told me that Takealot had moved and he provided me with a different address, I was a bit sceptical given the climate of our country when it comes to female safety. I went to the pick up point and no clear signage was available so I parked outside and called customer care. The person who assisted me threw me completely off by pronouncing the pickup point incorrectly and told me I was at the wrong location. I decided to check for an alternative entrance to the building to enquire, only to find that I was at the correct location and my parcel was there. I am disappointed by this first time experience from Takealot… the free “first delivery” was false adverti*****t as I ended up having to fetch the package myself. The lack of live updates and last minute postponement of deliveries is unprofessional and disappointing. What a horrible first time experience.
