Wish I had done due diligence on the company first. What an absolute rip-off ! My "booking fee" of R 1696.82 was more than the cost of the 7 day rental which was R 1494.99 (excluding insurance). I lodged a query / complaint with the actual car hire company (which I will not name, as they were pretty good about getting back to me). My advice is to stay well away from booking agents who promise the 'best price' and to book directly with a reputable car rental agency (which is what I thought I was doing). Caveat emptor - buyer beware !
