My brand new Samsung washing machine was booked with Electracorp on 24 May 2025. After a week they sent out a technician which told me that it was the motherboard. A week later another technician pitched with a new board but the washing machine did not work. Another week later he replaced the digital front panel but it was still not working. Another week later they picked up my machine and took it to their workshop in Bloemfontein where it's been sitting for 2 weeks now. They don't call back when they promise to do so and I've been calling almost every day since the machine was taken to the workshop. These people are the most useless I've ever seen. Even their Bethlehem branch tried to help but without any luck. Bloemfontein cancel the call as soon as Bethlehem put me through.
I bought a Samsung washer/dryer for R10,000 from Makro on 22 November 2024. After 6 months I couldn’t switch it on, it was dead. I called Makro on 22 May 2025 and reported the problem. On 24 May Electrocorp contacted me and booked the machine. A technician came out on 2 June for the first time and a week later another technician came out. Another week later the first technician came out again. They replaced a lot of electronic parts but the machine was still dead. On 18 June they picked the machine up for repairs in their workshop. I called on 24 June, they said they would call me back which didn’t happen. I called again on 26 June, same story. I called again this morning and the machine is still not working. Over the past 5 weeks I called Electrocorp and Samsung about 30 times. This morning I demanded a new machine but they only apologize for the inconvenience and nothing further hapens. I’ve been without a washing mashine for 5 weeks now and I’m totally fedup. Neither Samsung nor Electrocorp does anything about the problem. The mashine has a 2 year guarantee and I took out additional warranty which I paid for.
