I am once again extremely disappointed in what I thought was this time, an honest answer. After two weeks of fighting, negotiations, and empty promises Cell C is still billing me for a monthly price I did not agree on. I hope the next person from Cell C who contacts me will possess the required dignity, honesty, and integrity to assist me with my situation. I received many apologies in the last two weeks, but no results. The fact that I have been a loyal customer for 20 years also doesn't seem to make a difference.
On 12/07/2025 I phoned CellC retention centre to cancell my contract and move over to Vodacom, because their package deal on the Honor Pro 400 was/is R200 cheaper than that of Cell C. Luvuyo Stuurman convinced me to stay with Cell C and gave me an online deal, that included a promotional gift that includes earbuds, a powerbank, Honor watch. He promised me that the phone wil be delivered in 3 days. As it was my birthday on the 17th, I was happy and very exited. The phone was delivered on the 21st of July, 10days (not 3!) later. No promotional gifts were included in the delivery as promised, only the phone. I tried to get in touch with Luvuyo, but he ignored my emails and calls. After complaining about all of this on Hello Peter, Magame Mahakoe from Cell C contacted me. We communicated through email mainly, and on numerous occasions, she communicated that the package deal is R730 per month. She told me that I have to claim my promotional gift from Honor , and would send me an invoice. The invoice was wrong, and after many failed attempts, she sent me another invoice that also did not work, stating that the invoice was invalid. By now, I am extremely frustrated...When I asked for confirmation on the monthly price, they went back to R949. I asked to speak to a supervisor, but with no success. At this point, I feel like cancelling everything
I am a loyal Cell C customer for the past 20 years. Wanted to terminate my contract because Vodacom deals are cheaper. A young man at Cell C's retention centre convinced me to stay and promised me a deal I can not refuse. He promised me earphones, a charging bank, and a watch as complimentary gifts. He further promised me that the new Honor 400 Pro and extras would be delivered within three days. It took 10 days, and only the phone was delivered; no earphones, charging bank, or watch were included. I feel these operators will say anything and create false expectations, just to get one to agree to a new contract. I think the young man's name at the retention centre is Luvuyo
