I am posting a second review because this issue remains unresolved. During my move, one of my items — a coffee table — was missing from the delivery. I was explicitly told it would be delivered the following day. That was almost two weeks ago. Since then, I have followed up multiple times via email and messages and have received little to no response, no confirmed delivery date, and no accountability. The lack of communication has been extremely frustrating and unprofessional. At this point, the issue is not just the missing item, but the complete failure to keep me informed or resolve the problem. I would strongly caution anyone considering this company to ensure everything is documented and accounted for before and after their move. Very disappointing experience.
I used this company to move my belongings from Cape Town to Johannesburg. They collected my items from storage on 20 November and told me the load would reach Johannesburg by 24 November. I informed them from the start that I would only arrive on 1 December — which is why they moved my things early, due to shared loads and potential delays. Today is 3 December and I still do not have my belongings. While their contract states 7–10 working days, the overall experience has been extremely frustrating because of the poor communication and the constant shifting of timelines. I’ve had to repeatedly call just to get basic updates. Yesterday, they contacted me but could not deliver — citing heavy rain (which was fair, but still very conveniently timed) and then mentioning that the only available truck was a 6-ton, even though my complex only allows up to 3.5-ton vehicles. Again, another convenient excuse that could have been managed or communicated much earlier. Because of the delays, I had to sleep in a hotel on the night I arrived and then on an air mattress while waiting for essentials that were already meant to be here. They may lean on the 7–10 day clause, but the lack of proactive communication, planning, and reliability made this experience unnecessarily stressful. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company.
I am extremely dissatisfied with my experience with Goodfind Properties/Communicare/Avril Sampson (property manager). My rental deposit, which was due for refund on 13 July, has still not been paid despite numerous follow-ups and repeated assurances. I have now had to escalate the matter to the Rental Housing Tribunal due to the Goodfind Property continued non-compliance. Communication has been poor, deadlines have been ignored, and I have not received proof of payment or a clear resolution. This experience has caused unnecessary frustration and financial stress. I strongly urge prospective tenants to exercise caution when dealing with this agency. Desired outcome: Immediate refund of my rental deposit with proof of payment.
