I am extremely dissatisfied with my experience with Goodfind Properties/Communicare/Avril Sampson (property manager). My rental deposit, which was due for refund on 13 July, has still not been paid despite numerous follow-ups and repeated assurances. I have now had to escalate the matter to the Rental Housing Tribunal due to the Goodfind Property continued non-compliance. Communication has been poor, deadlines have been ignored, and I have not received proof of payment or a clear resolution. This experience has caused unnecessary frustration and financial stress. I strongly urge prospective tenants to exercise caution when dealing with this agency. Desired outcome: Immediate refund of my rental deposit with proof of payment.

From beginning to end, the process was a nightmare! Truth is, everyone is overwhelmed with work and we just need to manage our time properly. I had scheduled a viewing 14/02/2025, upon arriving , I checked in with security and he told me to call the agent - which I did, FOUR TIMES - no answer. I eventually left because I couldn't get into the complex. You think I got a call back from her? NO! By Monday 17/02, I made contact with call centre to ask why she hadn't returned my call since Friday (surely you knew you had a scheduled viewing), and immediately she sent me a message ..."apologies for only just seeing your message.." Another viewing is scheduled and I am happy to take the place. All forms are filled in and an offer letter is presented, to which I question "Lease Agreement Fee and Key Deposit Fee" before I make payment. Yes, these costs are common and I was willing to pay it, upon provable costs by the Estate Agent - which up until today, they cannot provide. How does one blindly pay R1000 for a Lease Agreement Fee (which will be clarified in the agreement) and R700 for a key deposit fee. Again, I was willing to pay, and even referred them to RHA, section 5. It seems as if they don't like to be challenged and even offered to cancel my application as my "requirements does not align with the complex". Still waiting for a reply since Friday - I guess no repsonse is also a reponse :) Tenants, you also have rights! Take the time to fami****ise yourself with the RHA. You'll be surprised how ************ some Estate Agents can be. They know people are desperate for accommodation and will pay any fee, just because.

My Granny passed on last year October. She Lived at Musgrave park for over 20 years. She had an interest bearing account with these people. I've sent someone working there Rushaan Ariefdien 8 emails she has rep**** 5 times not 8. The answers are all 1 liners. I received all formality emails no detailed explanations of anything. The main highlight was if I don't get all the documents then bye bye refund. I asked for an accumulative amount that is owed to my late Granny. They sent me which I can only assume is a snip from a spreadsheet with cramped columns therefor I cant see the dates over the period for which the interest was received. I cant see if its over 1 year or over 20 years but they not answering me fully. I get stonewall answers or no answer. I was told upfront without all documents its ******** to refund my mom the money - which I understand I got 95% of the docs just need letter of auth but I want to know what the amount due is so that I can figure out if its worth my time and money to go to court and get one but its starting to sink in that my mom is never getting this refund.

I sent through as n online application 10 days ago.as of yet I have received no communication.i called the office's on Monday 8 times and was put through an extension with no persons available,only voicemail.eventiall I got hold of someone who gave me a cell no that is continuously off.i have no idea what to do as this is atrocious.
