I failed with Standard Bank Insurance so I escalated to the Ombudsman which didn't make a difference. I even appealed the outcome of the Ombudsman of which was totally ignored. All I asked for was an alternate assessor to re-asses damages which was not entertained. People have degrees on paper but nothing upstairs.
When my home was broken into I was denied security for the night and told they cannot pay for security and repairs of which it covers me. During a heavy storm my roof and boundary fence was damaged. I was told it would take up to 10 days. To date this isn't resolved and the claim is rejected. From the claims handler to the internal assessor they are useless and know nothing. They are eating my money each month but cannot commit to me
