I genuinely do not understand how this company is still getting clients for assistance. At the beginning, the consultant who helped me apply for medical aid for myself and my son seemed to be doing his job. There was constant back and forth with documentation because something was always “wrong”, but I remained patient and cooperative. I paid Curemed for their “services” at the end of December. Shortly after that, I started receiving messages directly from the medical aid regarding outstanding information for my son. I tried calling the medical aid myself with no success and attempted to contact the Curemed consultant for almost two weeks. He read my WhatsApp messages and completely ignored me. Eventually he responded with an excuse that he wanted to reply but got a call and “forgot”, and that he would get the information and come back to me. He never did — until I lost my patience. Suddenly he claimed he had “just received the information from the medical aid”. This was clearly not true. There was a large amount of outstanding documentation, some of which was impossible to obtain quickly due to personal circumstances. Had I received this information earlier, it would have helped immensely. I eventually transferred to a completely different medical aid broker who is not even charging me and is doing an excellent job. Meanwhile, Curemed was already paid and simply stopped communicating. Is this standard practice for medical aid brokers — to take payment and then stop caring? Because of Curemed’s incompetence and lack of communication, my son now has to wait additional months on his waiting period. I also had to activate my own medical aid because when I asked Curemed for my membership number, I was told he “doesn’t have it” and that I should already have it because it “should be activated”. It was not. I had an emergency and discovered that the medical aid was never activated due to — once again — outstanding information that Curemed failed to communicate. But of course, Curemed already had their money, so that didn’t seem to matter. I contacted Curemed to request a refund and was promised it would be processed today. Unsurprisingly, the person assisting me with the refund is now also ignoring my messages. I would never, ever recommend Curemed to anyone. They do half the job, take your money, and then expect you to handle the rest yourself while they disappear. This has been one of the most unprofessional and frustrating experiences I have ever had with a service provider.
Terrible terrible services! I tried applying on their website and unfortunately the website never allows me to submit my application - I tried multiple times. I called their offices and they said I can fill in the manual application, which I did. I then sent it through to them and my updated CV and I asked them how everything works and they said if it my application was successful they will get it contact with me. In between that time I sent more applications (manually). Then randomly a few days ago someone contacted me from their offices on WhatsApp and asked if I have completed the assessments and I said "No, I only completed the manual application form" and they just reacted to my message - No response. I then WhatsApp them today, asked what is outstanding etc and they just read it and no response. I decided to call them - The lady I spoke to told me that the applications was never sent to their clients as the assessments was never done! How on earth should I know that their is assessments needed to be done since their webiste doesn't work on my side and they never never told me or sent anything to me! It's been over a month since I sent applications and now I find out that it wasn't even sent to the employers! How useless! The lady said she will send me an email with the assessments - Have a received it? Obviously not! It is over 5 hours ago. I sent the two numbers I have of them WhatsApps again and still no response. I'm done trying with these people! Useless services! They don't know what they are doing.
I am beyond mad! They tell you it is only a 7 days subscription and when you pay the amount for the *7 days* and cancel the subscription, they take an amount of R328.96 twice of your bank account and when you call them - Rudest and dumbest people! If you cancel you should pay 2 months which they never informed you off from the beginning!!! Don't trust or use their services!!! Useless!!!!
