Online shopping for delivery on 3 November 2025, payment successful, Basket delayed not transferred to Order, no delivery of goods. No refund given after phone calls and E-Mails my Ref WW-91691-T5B8T9. So, now what, their Financial Department just gone silent, no response. Out of pocket R 1405-02 and seems no way of getting it back, shameful.
I paid up my Holiday Shares 2 years ago, when I tried to cancel the monthly subscription fee, I was told I signed up for 30 years...when I looked at the documents signed, right at the bottom of the amount payable they inserted 30 years, when I spoke to my nieces who was with me, they remembered the person assisting us took the paperwork to be signed after I signed, coming back they made a big fuss that I was now a life-long member. Is there anyone else that was caught in this manner. It is now 9 years, and I am still paying for something that I never get to use. Sad that companies with little schemes can tie a person down for 30 years.
Standard Bank allowed my savings which I transferred into my Credit Card for my Norway Trip to be taken via unauthorised transactions, then, change the transactions amounts. Also changed the Case Number given by Agent originally, now ignoring my communications via E-Mail, just sending me info on the Banking App, to use Virtual Cards, which is additional cost to me, but for their benefit. My security in this regard is tight. Fourteen-digit passwords, working through Nord VPN. In conclusion. It seems to me Standard Bank do not enjoy your Credit Card being loaded with savings, it is easier for them to side with this kind of ******** behaviour (my opinion), have fear instilled in the customer's life, which forces you to follow their rules, so sad, as I am 63 years old, saved for 9 years to go on this trip, paid half of the costs, now lost it all. I have been a client with Standard Bank 40 years.
