⚠️ WARNING: My Experience with MotorVaps – Don’t Fall for It I bought a pre-owned car and took out a MotorVaps warranty for extra peace of mind. I still had a year left on my policy when my car started giving electrical problems. I followed every instruction — I filled out their online form and called to ask what to do next. The agent couldn’t even tell me whether or not I should tow my car to a workshop. When I checked the fine print, it clearly said that if there’s a problem, you must switch off the car immediately, otherwise your claim can be denied. Even after explaining this, the lady on the phone still couldn’t confirm if my claim would be approved. On top of that, I would have to pay for the diagnostic myself — around R2,000 — with no guarantee that MotorVaps would actually pay out afterward. So basically, you follow all their instructions, spend your own money, and still have no assurance your claim will be honoured. The whole setup feels like a **** — designed to collect premiums and deny claims when you need help most. Take my advice: avoid MotorVaps. There are far better warranty and insurance options out there. Don’t fall for their promises.
