7 April 2015 I paid and amount of R1596.00 to Speed Heat for the installation of underfloor heating. On the same day I cancelled the order as I received a much cheaper quote which included material and installation. Nalesh Maharaj, Customer Relations, requested my banking detail which I emailed to him. A week later the refund was`nt paid and I followed up with Nalesh who informed me that the Financial Manager is off sick and will process the payment on her return. I called back at the beginning of May 2015 just to be informed that they had system problems and was transfered to Sandra the financial manager. Sandra advised that the refund would be processed on the day and the funds available within 2 to 3 working days. Two weeks later and I still have`nt receive the refund so i called Sandra. She gave me some stupid excuse and promised to process the refund that day. Thursday the 4th of June I once again called as i did not receive the refund. again Sandra promised to process the refund. A week later, 12 June still no refund. I called @ 09:30 and was transfered to the Directors assistant who took down my detail and promised to return my call within 30 min.13:51 no feedback !!!!
Called the call centre @ 18:05 to block my daughters phone as she was robbed earlier the day. After holding on for more than a hour the line was automatically cut with us having to call back and yet again hold on for service. Another hour passed and still no answer. We by now know the words to #My African Dream# as we have to listen to this song instead of talking to a consultant. Surely a reputable company as Vodacom should anticipate high call volumes and have something in place to avoid this from happening. I am really disappointed to think that at a time like this Vodacom could not come to our aid in time to ensure that those nice gentleman did not have the pleasure of using the one thing my daughter treasured so much. Think it's time I cancel my longstanding relationship with this wonderful service provider and seek and alternative one who would at least answer when one is in need of service. Vodacom you suck!
