DISAPPOINTMENT AND ANGRY
HUNGRY LION GALLERIA AMANZIMTOTI KZN What a disappointment, my son and I went to Hungry Lion on Friday 14 March 2026. We were there just after 10H00, to buy the specials they have until 11H00, but were told it has no longer available, today 19 March 2026, I saw that they were still advertising the special.

Excellent Service Rockview Carwash Amanzimtoti
What a fantastic service, friendly staff. I wash my car at Rockview all the time, even had a valet done on my car, what a experience, most helpful and nothing is too much to ask for, all questions answered thoroughly, and when you ride past you will see it is always full of waiting customers, and you feel most welcome. The best of the best, thank you guys keep up the good work.

Excellent Service Checkers Athlone Park Amanzimtoti
What a fantastic experience I had at Checkers Athlone Park Amanzimtoti, what a clean store, most friendly and helpful staff. The butchery was so clean as well. Friendly staff at the hot food section as well as the cashier. Will ride the extra kilometer and will shop there many more times. Thank Checkers Athlone Par, keep up the excellent work.

Very Bad Service
Good day I am writing this with the bad experience my son had with Shoprite Alberton North. 2 weeks ago I (well my son) went to Shoprite an hour before closing, he had to take meat out of the trolley as they already packed away which is not right, then on Sunday 1 June 2025 he was shopping there and standing in the queue, then the manager came and the teller had to serve him first he said why when there is a long queue in line the manager said because he is the manager he gets served first. Is this the way is this the way it should work??? All the potatoes were green as well, not one nice potato . Unfortunately as he works till late and has to walk there the nearest place to shop. He cannot receive calls and only on his email at night, the reason why I am sending this on his behalf.

Shoprite Amanzimtoti Firstly the plastic bags to put your veggies in is all over the place, not like it used to be on a roller. Secondly I wanted to buy Bayer's aspirin, took 4 boxes of what I could reach and all of them had already expired. I reported this to the manager and was promised they will be in touch, well this happened about a month ago, and still up to now, no one has ever bothered to call me or message me, I did go back about 2 weeks after the first incident and queried about what is happening and manager that was on duty said they called and no answer, I had already mentioned before when I am home my signal is bad and I cannot received calls after 5pm, I said pleas let them SMS or WhatsApp me to no avail. I had been in hospital and there I could receive calls and yet nothing from Shoprite. Please explain does a health inspector ever go there and how come they can put expired goods on their shelves.

Best Service
What a pleasure to visit the Shell garage in Amanzimtoti, the best service ever. Always clean, even shop, the friendliest people and so very helpful, nothing is too much to ask. They always ask if there is anything else like tyres, water or oil, they clean the windscreen every time. The manager is just as friendly and also helpful. Best ever, keep up the excellent work, and staff. Thank you to you all.

Great Service Shell Garage
Good day Again, I compliment all staff and manager at the Shell garage in Rosslyn Street Amanzimtoti,the best service at all times. Friendly, helpful, always greeted with a smile, not only to me, I have seen them do this to other motorists. I was talking to my co-workers about the great service at Shell, when one woman came up and told me, she wanted to pump her sons rugby ball, been to other garages, and they all refused, but when she got to Shell, which was actually out of her way, but was so happy they pumped the ball with friendliness and a smile. The only garage that would do this, unbelievable, and now she will only put petrol in at the Shell garage in Amanzimtoti. Thank you again, keep up the excellent work. Kind Regards Debbie Steyn

The Shell garage in Rosslyn Road Amanzimtoti, always the best service, greeted with a smile and very friendly and helpful. Always ask if the tyres, water and oil may be checked, wash the windows and also with a smile. They go out of their way to their best, and not only to me, I have seen them attend to other customers with the same treatment. Well done to the manager, and all his employees. Keep up the excellent service, and know I shall be back again. Wow, you don't always get this kind of service, well done. 5 stars to you.

My name is Deborah Cecila Steyn, I was at Absa in the Galleria Amanzimtoti to change a debit order. The queue was extremely long, and I had to wait, which seemed like forever, but the staff of Absa (although so busy), was efficient, friendly and helpful at all times to all the customers. Eventually, when I got into the bank, I still had to sit in a queue, which was now 15H55, just before they closed, and there were still 7 people in front of me at the customer enquires, but yet the staff did not rush, to get us out, they still were efficient and friendly, the whole of Absa staff. 16H10 I got to be helped by Nomvula Mnguni, who was so helpful and friendly, although it was so long past the cut off time.
